Host an international exchange student through Ayusa. Learn the true heart and soul of a culture!

Ayusa is a non-profit high school foreign exchange student organization. We welcome teenagers from over 60 countries worldwide and provide host family placement and ongoing supervision for 5 and 10 month academic programs. These exceptional young people look forward to a warm bond of friendship with your family and a rewarding cultural exchange. Host families are asked to • provide meals • provide a bedroom either shared or private. Students pay for all other personal expenses while in the U.S. Ayusa is currently accepting applications for the 2013/2014 program year. Visit our website to fill out your online application – the schools in our area have limited spots available for exchange students, so act now! All across the world, Ayusa students are eagerly awaiting their host family placement. Please call today and begin the adventure of a lifetime! Visit our website at www.ayusa.org or call us at (888) 552-9872. You can also contact our local representative Vicki Odom at vodom@ayusa.org or call 832455-7881 for more information as well.

FROM ONE NEIGHBOR TO ANOTHER... While enjoying the outdoors please make sure your pet doesn’t leave anything behind. As a responsible pet owner, you scoop it if your dog poops it. Sonoma is a family neighborhood made up of residents of all ages. Please be considerate when parking in your driveway to not block the sidewalk. We don’t want young children, the elderly or special needs neighbors to have to enter the street to get around these cars...it is just not safe for them to have to do so! Thank you for your consideration and for asking your guests to do the same.

Kindergarten Roundup 2014-2015 Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup will take place Wednesday, March 5. Parents may register children at Blackland Prairie from 9AM – 2PM. Any child living in the district who turn 5 on of before September 1, 2014 and meets the requirements for pre-kindergarten can register. Registration is also available the week of March 3 -7. For more information, contact Blackland Prairie at 512-424-8600.
