LAUREL CREEK June 2014
Official Newsletter of the Residents of Laurel Creek
Our Community Hello!! Well, we are into summer now and lots of good weather so far this year. Children will be out of school so we need to watch our speed on the streets in Laurel Creek to help them stay safe. I am sure everyone has noticed the deed restriction signs. These signs are for everyone in Laurel Creek and outside of Laurel Creek. They are a reminder to all of us but we have many new neighbors who may or may not be aware of the deed restrictions for Laurel Creek. Thanks to those of you have responded in a positive manner regarding your dog off leash. It is greatly appreciated and a positive response within keeping the laws of the state and county. An agenda item has been requested regarding some type of alternative regarding our dogs for our next regular meeting. Please remember to put your trash out after 6 PM on the evenings before trash pickup. We are still waiting on our management company for a surveyor for the basketball court property regarding our putting up a privacy fence. Have a safe and happy summer.

EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS Because Laurel Creek is a Deed Restricted Community, any changes that you wish to make to the exterior of your home must first be approved by the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). This includes roofing, decks, swimming pools, fence replacement, painting – even if you are re-painting using the same color, tree removal, door re-staining, etc. For a complete list, or if you have any questions about a planned project, please contact Sterling at 832-678-4500. Exterior Improvement Application forms are available online at Sterling’s website at www.sterlingasi.com. The ACC members are volunteers who act as quickly as possible to review each application; however please remember that they have 60 days to render a decision. Please do not start any work until you have received written approval from Sterling.
ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE The Laurel Creek Architectural Control Committee works closely with the Home Owner Association to review applications for making improvements or changes to the neighborhood homes. Their purpose is to maintain the Deed Restrictions so our neighbor’s homes can be kept to the high standards set by the original founders of this community. There are currently three members who volunteer for this community service. Anyone interested in volunteering for a position may contact Sterling Management for more information.
