LET’S SWIM! THE NEW POOL IS OPEN!
The new Paloma Lake community pool located at 3185 Magellan Way was opened July 15. And, it is worth the wait! The multilevel pool has a resort feel with a spacious pool deck, poolside pergolas, covered patio area, and beautiful stone amenity center, all overlooking peaceful Paloma Lake. Shortly after the pool opened, residents came out—some just to see, and others to be among the first to swim. The pool features a small zero-entry area, depths up to 4’ 6”, and several lap lanes. A brand new colorful playground and splash pad are just outside the fenced pool area. Just step on the button in the center of the pad and water fountains dance for 20 minutes! A
convenient restroom is located on the exterior of the amenity center near the play area. The new pool hours are 6am – 10pm daily, except for Tuesday when the pool will be closed until 1pm for cleaning. (The Saint Federico Way pool will be open Tuesday mornings.) There are no regularly scheduled lifeguards, and children should be closely supervised at all times. Resident key fobs will open the gates to both Paloma Lake pools with no action required on the part of the resident. If you have any problems accessing the pool using your key fob during posted pool hours, please email info@ southwestmanagement.net.

Don't Forget! JUST A FEW REMINDERS... Trash cans, recycle bins, etc. are to be put out only on trash days. They are to be kept out of public view at all other times. After you go to the hard work of mowing your lawn, don’t forget to blow or sweep your driveway and sidewalks. No grass clippings are to be left on the street, driveway or walks. Pick up after your pets. Let’s all do our share to keep our community beautiful!

PALOMA LAKE Thanks to a great new community event, the residents at Paloma Lake have been given a break from the kitchen this summer! Since mid-June, a variety of food trucks have been on-site every Friday evening at a Paloma Lake pool to serve the residents. And, each week, the food trucks have served between 200 and 400 meals! So far, the food trucks have included Mighty Fine (a Paloma Lake favorite), Rosarito, Greengos, OMG!Cheesecakery, Uncle Louie G, Stony’s Pizza, Evil Wiener, Avalanche Blast and Amy’s Ice Creams. Yum! Even Top Golf has gotten in on the action and has come out to provide a little shade and hand out some goodies. Top it off with a little music, a dip in the pool, and a time to catch up with neighbors, it’s a fun night for all. The Cool Down & Chow Down events will continue until mid-August, Friday evenings from 5-8pm. Watch your email and check Facebook for details.

Shape Up, Paloma Lake! Have you been telling yourself it’s time to get in shape? Do you promise every Monday that you’re going to exercise, eat less sugar and more protein, get outside more, be a healthier, happier you? You’re not alone. Join your neighbors! This summer, boot camp classes were offered outside at the park at Margarita Loop by Paloma Lake resident and certified trainer, Tim Williams. A weekly PiYo (that’s Pilates + Yoga) session was led on Wednesdays at the Amenity Center by your neighbor, Becky Garcia (also a certified instructor). Let’s keep the momentum going! Would you like to be a part of a walking group? Would you like to train to run a 5k? Yoga, anyone? Or would you prefer to exercise while dancing? Are you an instructor/trainer who would enjoy meeting your neighbors and having a part-time gig close to home? Email your new Lifestyle Director, Jan Scriven, with your ideas and suggestions at jan.scriven@southwestmanagement.net.
