Workday at the Basketball Park Randy Parman, Amanda Davey, Tom Tamborello and board directors, Valerie Phelps and Ann Murphree, participated in Laurel Creek’s second workday which was held on Saturday, May 7, 2016. These residents have been particularly helpful they all also worked on the Shadow Gate Park project as well held on April 2, 2016. Marilyn and Ken Zavatsky, Quoc Vu, Negarin Nematzadeh, John Murray and Nathan Overstreet also participated in the April 2, 2016 workday. Thanks to the volunteers, the Laurel Creek Neighborhood Assoc, Inc. saved approximately $5,000.00 to $6,000.00 in labor costs. In addition, Ken Zavatsky saved the homeowner’s association at least $200 to $300 by repairing the bench located at Shadow Gate Park. The savings from these workdays will enable the HOA to proceed with correcting two low-lying areas with poor drainage and refurbishing the three rose beds on the green belt located between the pond and Shadow Gate Park.
