The organizational meeting of the Bridgeland Kayak & Canoe Club was held on September 19 at the Lakeland Village Activity Center. More than twenty people attended and many exciting plans were presented including: • A Vendor Product Demonstration Day • Beginning & Advanced Kayak and Canoe Training • Safety Sessions • A scheduled time for weekly paddling • Trips to the Guadalupe River, Pecos River, Galveston, Armand Bayou etc.

THE TIMES Adult English Classes at English Gateway English Gateway is a program designed to teach conversational English. The vision and desire of English Gateway is to assist international families in learning and improving English skills to help them live and be successful here in the United States. We offer 6 different levels and have open registration throughout the CFISD school year. Childcare is available for free for pre-school children as long as they are registered beforehand.

- Where does English Gateway meet? We meet at Bayou City Fellowship, 12715 Telge Rd., Cypress, TX 77429.

- When does English Gateway meet? We offer two options: Thursday mornings, 9:30-11:30 am; Thursday evenings, 6:308:30 pm.

- How do you register? We have open registration. You can come any Thursday to register and take the placement test, joining class immediately afterwards.

Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital Now Offering Advanced Wound Care

Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital now offers advanced wound care treatment for chronic wounds, ranging from diabetic ulcers to radiation-induced inflammation. Chronic wounds have a range of causes, including diabetes, vascular disease, and trauma.

“Treating a chronic wound may not be a simple fix. Volunteer Firefighters Needed - Join Today!

If you have ever thought about volunteering, now is the perfect time.

Join us on Thursday, Nov 9th at 7pm or Saturday, Nov 11th at 2pm at fire station #7 to find out how you can join.

Station 7 in Fairfield has 12 openings and is accepting applications for new members. If you are interested in volunteering in the community or starting a career in the Fire or Emergency Medical Services then joining the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department, Station #7, is a great way to serve.

We are “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”. Since the station opened in 1995 our members, who are all volunteers and residents in the Fairfield area, have been dedicated to providing fire and medical services to the community in which we live. We need your help to continue our tradition of service to Fairfield and the surrounding communities.

On Thursday, Nov 9th and Saturday, Nov 11th we will host an informal “Open House” at station #7. Station members will be on hand to provide information on joining the department and answer any questions you may have about membership. Stop by to learn about the department, see the new station under construction and the “Tools of the Trade.” Parking will available across the street between Kroger and auto repair shop.
