The merger, which has been approved by Rotary International, brings together two powerhouse community organizations focused at providing the South Lake Travis community support across a number of different humanitarian programs. “The merger between the two clubs will result in stronger support for existing service project efforts and improved awareness of Rotary impact within the local Lake Travis Community” says Donald Zielinski, former President of the Rotary Club of Bee Cave/Spicewood. “Merging our clubs will allow us to support the Lake Travis area community in a more robust fashion. Together we can be the center of service for our community” says Kristine Shelstad, President, Rotary Club of Lakeway/Lake Travis. This simple philosophy and code consists of the following: Of the things we think, say and do: 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? The motto of Rotary is “Service Above Self ”.
