My daughter started a kindness rocks group! Come join! Northpointe Rocks is a group located in Tomball, TX, and started in the Villages of Northpointe. This group was started as part of #thekindnessrocksproject, so that we may spread kindness to others by sharing our painted rock creations. We invite young and old to participate, as there's no age limit on spreading kindness! Hidden around town, fun, painted rocks are lurking! Keep your eyes open! We invite everyone who joins to paint and hide their own rocks in our area! There is a facebook group for posting and interacting. On the back of your creation please write: Keep or Rehide. Post pics to Northpointe Rocks with a Facebook or hashtag symbol. #NorthpointeRocks Feel free to add people who may want to join, and also upload pics of artwork ready for hiding! Give hints on hidden locations and update if you’ve been lucky enough to find one! Come browse our page and read a story written about the groups creator, my 7 year old daughter, Sierra. Most of all, have fun, stay safe, and SPREAD SOME KINDNESS! Copyright Š 2017 Peel, Inc.

MEMORIAL HERMANN CYPRESS HOSPITAL

NOW OFFERING ADVANCED WOUND CARE

Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital now offers advanced wound care treatment for chronic wounds, ranging from diabetic ulcers to radiation-induced inflammation. Chronic wounds have a range of causes, including diabetes, vascular disease, and trauma. “Treating a chronic wound may not be a simple fix. You have to look at the cause of the impaired healing, as well as the wound itself, for a patient to have the optimal outcome,” says Stuart Harlin, M.D., a vascular surgeon affiliated with Memorial Hermann Wound Care at Memorial Hermann Cypress and UTHealth. “That’s why it’s important that you see specialists who treat your wound using a comprehensive approach.” Dr. Harlin says those with neuropathy or peripheral arterial disease are at a higher risk of developing chronic wounds and should speak to a physician if they notice a slow healing process. “If a chronic wound is left untreated, it can lead to bigger infections, like sepsis, or even limb amputation. Our advanced wound care program can help prevent more severe conditions from occurring,” says Dr. Harlin. Memorial Hermann Wound Care features a highly-skilled team of affiliated physicians, nurses and technicians with advanced training in wound care and hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy. Among the many treatment interventions available, patients can also receive specialty wound dressings, debridement, and negative-pressure wound therapy Memorial Hermann Wound Care is located at 27700 Northwest Freeway, Suite 170, Cypress, TX 77433. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For referrals, scheduling, and more information, call (346)231-6991.

Rosehill Christian School Grows Leaders On Thursday, February 8th, at 6:30 p.m., Rosehill Christian School will highlight its numerous programs to develop leaders at a school preview held on campus at 19830 FM 2920, Tomball, TX, at Mueschke.

Fridays, these same small groups continue to meet during an advisory period to continue their spiritual and relational growth. By mid-year, trained juniors take on the leadership of these small groups, and seniors then move into the role of mentors.

Rosehill Christian School (RCS) begins developing leaders in preschool and pursues that end all the way to high school graduation because “The Journey Matters.”

For more information on how RCS produces godly leaders, attend the upcoming school preview on Thursday, February 8, 6:30 p.m., on the RCS campus, 19830 FM 2920, Tomball, Texas, at Mueschke. Join the Journey!

Lastly, RCS high school students are encouraged to provide service and leadership in the surrounding communities by donating a 100-hour minimum of community service hours before graduation. Most exceed that number.

Preschoolers learn leadership and responsibility through classroom roles. Elementary teachers consciously develop social skills and character in their young charges by rewarding them with “signatures” when they go “above and beyond” in showing Christ-like actions and attitudes which students have studied in Bible class and chapel. These signatures lead to recognition, treats, and sometimes trips to Chuck E Cheese. Fourth and fifth graders lead school-wide morning announcements, walk kindergarteners to class, and carry out flag duty every morning and afternoon. Middle school students practice leadership through extracurricular activities such as 4H, sports, choir, cheer, and honor society. Middle School and High school students expand those experiences by reading to younger students or assisting with elementary class projects. On Fridays, high school athletes help with carpool in order to get to know the younger students and promote school spirit. Every September, all RCS high school students attend a Pinnacle retreat where small student groups (grades 9 - 12) are led by high school seniors to strengthen spiritual and peer relationships. On
