Message from the Board Welcome Karen Davis and Ron Jones to the 2018 ACIA Board of Trustees. The 2018 BOT have many challenges ahead as your elected volunteers to accomplish this year as we have strived to do in the past. Board members will be delegated to focus on certain areas while still taking part of ALL BOT duties to enable a more efficient approach to complete tasks. Karen will focus on Social media (Web Site, Surveys and more). Garry will focus a more efficient approach on delivery of postage while continuing plans for ADA compliance along with a more efficient ACC process. Ron will continue to pursue slim lining the spending and work towards a more efficient Deed restriction enforcement with his team. Bob will be focusing a new Disaster / Emergency program for the ACIA for such things as Harvey with his team. Ric will be focusing on bringing all Declaration and Polices to compliance with his team. If you are interested in volunteering, please send us an email with thought to what you feel you can help the community. Stay tuned for emails from Karen on surveys and new programs on asking the BOT questions, deed restriction complaints by email. Copyright © 2018 Peel, Inc.
2018 Budget and Maintenance Fees: Our 2018 shows a negative in which it may be. The budget has no Capital improvement, just cost to keep the lights on. We are at a point that maintenance fees need to increase to meet the cost of living increase. We live in a community that has so many amenities and beautiful homes, that many look to be part if there is a home for sale. In turn by keeping our community and amities to a premium our homes are valued the same. March 2018 will be the start of “Special Called “meetings by the BOT to explain reasoning that it’s time to set limits and raise maintenance fees. These meetings will be posted and hope that the community will attend. Stay tuned. Your vote counts. (Continued on Page 3) ACIA Happenings - February 2018
