Book Fair flyer, so look for it in your child’s folder. Please note, parents cannot pull their child out of class to shop, but they are welcome to shop with their child during their class’s time at Book Fair. Your child’s teacher will let you know when their class will be visiting the Book Fair. Alternatively, parents have the option to come in before school and shop with their child, or come after school until 6:30pm on March 22nd for the late night. This is great way for parents to share in the experience and help your child select from the huge selection of titles and other items available at the Book Fair. It’s going to be a wonderful Spring. We hope to see you all!

Blocking Sidewalks As a reminder, vehicles should be parked either in the garage or in the driveway and not on the street whenever possible. Many residents comply with this request and then find that their vehicles often block sidewalk access causing pedestrians to have to take other measures to get around them. While this is not a constant problem, it is annoying and it can become a safety issue when neighbors are walking, jogging, biking or taking small children out for fresh air. It causes them to leave the safety of the sidewalk and go into the street because there is no other way to get by the vehicles. Please take a moment to see where your vehicle is located on the driveway. See if you can assist your neighbors to navigate along the sidewalk without going into the street to avoid placing pedestrians in the street when they should be on the sidewalks. Your neighbors would greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Silverlake Sasser Park Cleanliness Most Silverlake residents have had the opportunity to visit and perhaps picnic or walk in Sasser Park located on Southfork Road between Silvercreek and Fieldstone subdivisions. It is a beautiful park and pavilion with picnic tables and grills for cooking. We ask that everyone who uses the park disposes of their trash in the trash receptacles and cleans up any debris. For folks with dogs the park is a great to walk and exercise your pets. Lately it has been reported that some owners are not cleaning up after their pets. Please carry plastic bags to pick up pet waste and dispose of it in trash bins or specific dog waste receptacles. We appreciate your cooperation.
