STEEPLECHASE CONTINUES UPGRADING AMENITIES The reconstruction of the clubhouse west parking lot will provide additional parking spaces, improved drainage through repair/ replacement of damaged/blocked parking lot drainage pipes, and improved landscaping. This project started in March and should be completed in late March/early April, weather contingent.

should start in April with completion in late April/early May. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Chaparral.

At the same time, the BOD has moved forward with the main pool deck repair/resurfacing and the adult pool improved drainage and deck resurfacing. This project started in March and will be completed no later than the opening of the pool season the first weekend in May. Both projects are budgeted in the 2018 SCIA capital plan as part of the continuing SCIA amenities repair/improvement/upgrade/ replacement program. The clubhouse marquee replacement project will install a new electronic marquee to replace the manual version which will be relocated to the northwest corner of the intersection at the Bayou Trail parking lot. This will provide announcements for residents who come into Steeplechase from the West Road entrances. This project The Steeplechase Blvd fence repair and staining job was recently completed. The stucco columns at the end of the fence sections were also repaired and painted. If you notice some variation in the stain color, it results from new boards that have different texture than the original boards. Rougher texture will absorb more stain giving them a different appearance. This project is part of the routine maintenance work that the Association performs.

LOW HANGING BRANCHES & WILD BUSHES Steeplechase is fortunate to have sidewalks throughout that make it safe to walk, run, exercise etc. without worrying about dodging parked vehicles, cars coming down the street, etc. However, there are obstacles to using the sidewalks; for example, low hanging tree branches, unkempt bushes, etc... Homeowners and renters, please trim your plants so that the full width of the sidewalk is passable and provides a 7’ to 8’ height clearance for pedestrians. Likewise, your trees should be trimmed to provide adequate clearance for cars and trucks traveling or parking on the street. Thanks for your cooperation. If you have any questions or comments, direct them to Lindsey Hall-Wikenczy at lwikenczy@chaparralmanagement.com. Steeplechase Community Association Newsletter - April 2018
