First Responder Potluck Appreciation Dinner Tuesday, October 16th Winchester Country is holding a potluck dinner in appreciation of Police Officers and Firemen on Tuesday, October 16th from 7pm to 9pm at the clubhouse on 9607 Rio Grande. Please bring a dish to share and to show how much our community appreciates those who serve and protect.

Clean Your Closets for the Winchester Country Community Garage Sale Our Community Garage Sale will be Friday, October 12th and Saturday, October 13, 8am to 5pm.

Winchester Country will put signs up at the entrances to the subdivision. You will need to make your own sign to put at the end of your street. ***THESE SIGNS MAY NOT BE ATTATCHED TO ANY STOP SIGNS, POLES OR LIGHT FIXTURES****. Please remember on Saturday to remove your signs as we want to always keep our community looking its very best. Do not put signs up in the entrances of the subdivision. Thank you to all who will be participating. In case of inclement weather the signs will remain up and the next weekend (October 19-20) will be the rain date.

MOBILE VET VISITS IN SEPTEMBER Tuesday, September 12th from 4 to 7pm Mobile Vet will be at the parking lot by the tennis courts and park on Rio Grande.

As part of the Fire Department’s Annual Fundraiser; Santa and the Elves will again make delivery of your gift to your child by following the guidelines below: •

In person sign-ups will happen on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at 10:00am.

•

We will open the doors at 10 am, to put your name on the list. Pick which date you would like and we will call you back with a time. NO CALLS WILL BE TAKEN DURING SIGN UPS…NO EXCEPTIONS.

•

Dates for delivery: December 7th, 8th, 9th and 14th, 15th and 16th

•

Deliveries made between 6:00pm – 8:30pm (5:00pm on Sat/Sun)

•

A minimum donation of $50.00 for a ten minute visit for a family of four. Santa has requested no deliveries to large groups or parties.

•

Bring your child’s wrapped gift to the Fire Station the Tuesday prior to your scheduled delivery date. If the gift is not at the station by Thursday at the latest, you will forfeit your spot….Station located at 16501 Jersey Dr.

•

Additional donations will be greatly appreciated. Checks payable to: Jersey Village Fire Fighters Association or we have a stamp. Thank you.

Quilting Get Together Please join as at this neighborhood quilt group. We will meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday every month from 6pm-9pm in Clubhouse 1 at Winchester Country Clubhouse, 9607 Rio Grande. Come join the fun!! All are welcome from Beginners to Advanced. Bring your machines or your hand projects. This is not a formal group. We are in it for the camaraderie. WC Senior Group If you are 55 years old or older we are looking for you. We meet the LAST Monday of the month at 6:00pm at the Winchester Country Clubhouse.

We play cards, dominoes or other games. We go out to eat and attend plays at the Family Arts Center on Grant Road or the 1960 Playhouse on Gant Road. For more information please call Helen Delaney at 281-794-8796.

Houston, Texas 77040. We gather for coffee. snacks and fellowship about 9:30am. We have speakers and we take day trips on a bus provided by Precinct 4 to various locations. We take in a movie at a local theatre once a month and we go out to eat after the meeting. We are not involved in the AARP insurance. We look forward to seeing you at one of our meetings.
