We’re looking forward to a fabulous Fall at Silvercrest, there is a lot going on so please get involved whenever you can! Go Stallions!

Fall Spirit Nights Silvercrest families, save these dates! Spirit nights are important in raising funds and a really easy way for you to get involved! Eat at the restaurants below on the date listed, and the restaurants will kindly donate funds back to our school. We will remind you of these Spirit Nights by sending home flyers in your students’ folders, listing them on the marquee, and through our school website/ Facebook. Please be sure to visit the locations during the times listed so Silvercrest benefits! Come and join in the fun, make dinner easy, and see some Silvercrest friends! Oct 2 - Chick-Fil-A all day! 6am-10pm, ALL orders must go through Chick-Fil-A One app with our school name written in the notes section for us to get credit! Oct 17 - Spring Creek BBQ 5-9pm, get ready for some delicious food, get served by teachers, & compete with your classroom’s attendance that night for extra freebies!

Fall PTA in the Park Please join us for a fun family night out at PTA in the park, sponsored by Silvercrest PTA on Tuesday, October 23rd from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at Silverlake Park, next to the school. There will be games, music, costume contests, and Halloween fun for the entire family. More information will be coming home with your children soon.

PTA Reflections Competition: Heroes Around Me The 50th Annual PTA Reflections Contest is in full swing! Our theme this year is: Heroes Around Me. Students may create entries in the following categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Mark Your Calendars October 15-19 - National School Lunch Week National School Lunch week celebrates the benefits of our National School Lunch program. Our PTA is celebrating by handing out healthy snacks during lunch! October 22-26 - Red Ribbon Week The mission of the Red Ribbon Campaign is to present a unified and visible commitment toward the creation of a drug-free America. In 1988, the National Family Partnership organized the first Red Ribbon Week and since then has reached millions of children in the United States. Each day this week, the students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in theme days. Look for more information soon! Silverlake Halloween Decorating Contest The Silverlake HOA is proud to sponsor the 9th annual Silverlake Halloween Decorating Contest. Show your Halloween spirit and decorate your home. Who has the spookiest house in Silverlake? If you would like to have your home judged, please submit your name, address and phone number to Silverlakehoa@gmail.com by October 18th, 2018. Judging will begin Saturday, October 20th, weather permitting, and continue nightly until all of the entries have been judged. The lucky winner will receive $100 cash prize.

Wednesday, October 31 | 5:30 to 8:00p.m. Recreation Center & Natatorium (4141 Bailey Road) Free to Attend About the event: Calling all ghosts and goblins! Join us at the 16th Annual Trick or Treat Trail! Trick-or-Treaters of all ages are invited out to this FREE community-wide event. The first 500 participants get a free Trick or Treat Bag for their treats. Local businesses and organizations will line the “trail” to pass out candy and other goodies. Parking: All parking is located at Turner Career & College High School, 4719 Bailey Road.
