LOEN Ladies Club Celebrations

The LOEN Ladies Club celebrated the last month of 2018 with our fun and festive Holiday Dinner Dance Party and Prize Gifts Give Away. Thanks to our creative Holiday committee, who transformed Joe’s Mesquite Grill into a winter wonderland of twinkling lights, Christmas wreaths and poinsettias. DJ Dave of Dave Clark Events kept the dance floor rocking all evening, while Joe’s chefs served up exquisite cuisine. We appreciate Jeanne McKenzie, Shirley de Smit and Patty DeScioli for donating to our super Prize Gifts Give Away.

CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME We are enormously grateful to our LOEN neighbors, who so generously donated to our Houston Area Women's Center (HAWC) Holiday Gift Express. Our donation box overflowed with presents and gift cards for women and children, who are survivors of domestic violence. Lisa Miller-Marshall was our liaison to HAWC and spearheaded this successful campaign. We also donate to the Mission of Yaweh, a nearby shelter for homeless women and children.

The Brunch Bunch decked the halls at La Madeleine French Bakery and Café at Town and Country. Bunco jumped into the spirit with an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest and mystery Holiday Gift Exchange. The LOEN LC introduced the yummy Holiday Cookie Exchange with prizes awarded for the best decorated cookie and the most original cookie.

Our LOEN Angels assisted the Spring Branch Food Mobil Food Pantry by organizing a mini “Farmer’s Market” with packing and handing out produce to Houston families in need. This very meaningful time of service helps fight hunger and is a monthly volunteer event at the Spring Branch Family Development Center.

Girl’s Night Out threw a Jewelry Party and each LC member created a lovely memory bracelet. We bid farewell to 2018 and said Aloha to 2019 at the LOEN LC New Year’s Eve Luau. Members and guests donned Hawaiian shirts, feasted on fabulous food, played games and toasted the New Year with bottles of bubbly champagne at midnight. LOEN LC MEMBERSHIP DRIVE AND MEETING - 1/22/19 Want to get in on all the fun?
