What is a keyhole garden? It is a garden that combines the use of recycled materials, water conservation, composting and maximization of space in a raised bed with minimum maintenance. A Keyhole garden maximizes drainage, improves the soil, and enhances access. Keyhole gardens are a riff on that idea, with one addition: a center compost area that works as a self-fertilizing element for the plants.
