BRR! Winter is in full swing, as is our new term. We have a lot to be proud of and a lot of future events to enjoy. Let’s continue to focus on good study habits and good winter health, Spring will be here before we know it! ARTS IN EDUCATION UPDATE PRE-K - 1ST PERFORMANCE

The Silvercrest PTA sponsored an interactive performance, ENGINuity, for our Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Graders at the end of January. Performed by Open Dance Project, the students experienced the fast-moving fun of spark plugs and pistons in a hyperphysical romp through the mechanics of motors and engines and the inventive minds of their creators. Everyday applications of math, science, and engineering were highlighted in this live performance featuring original music, theatre, and dance. REFLECTIONS: ADVANCING TO DISTRICT We would like to congratulate all of our advancing entries in this year’s Reflections Competition, as well as express our appreciation to all students who participated! We had an amazing set of entries, and our judges thoroughly enjoyed reviewing all of them. Advancing entries have moved onto the District Level for further review, with the potential to advance to the State and National Levels. These students, as well as the placing entries, were recognized during our Reflections Celebration at the General PTA Meeting in January. Residents may bring any amount of personal or business paper documents and we’ll destroy and recycle them securely and efficiently. If you can bring it, we can shred it! Please remove staples binder clips etc....
