Backlash was a hard - electronic music club night born in Newcastle upon Tyne. The night ran monthly from 2003 before it was laid to rest (again) in 2010.

In the early 2000s, Newcastle generally consisted of three types of nights: indie, House and mainstream. It was out frustration for the lack of hardcore in the city that a group of enthusiasts came together and started BACKLASH.
