Quality Illumination and Visual Well-Being Comfortable, Glare-Free Illumination Staple LED helps keep eyes thriving by producing uniform, color-consistent and glare-free illumination. The proprietary Softshine-engineered comfort optics in Staple LED control and distribute light with use of high performance films and metal reflectors.

Flicker-Free Dimming to Black Staple LED’s advanced dimming capabilities set a new standard in architectural dimming by enabling users to enjoy ideal illumination at any level for each and every lighting scenario.

empowered

The 0-10V eldoLEDÂŽ driver inside Staple LED provides smooth and seamless dim-to-black dimming down to 0.1% and automatic fade-to-black dimming when powering off. This natural dimming attains the deepest dimming levels without dropout, without a visual flash when powering on and without flicker. Flicker can lead to several potential impairments including headaches, distraction, blurred vision, epileptic seizures and an increase in autistic behaviors, especially in children. With more and more facilities turning to LED lighting, flicker is an increasing concern. However, with Staple LED and its eldoLED powered dimming, there is no concern at all, only kind to the eyes illumination. Learn more about the effects of flicker in this scientific presentation: PeerlessLighting.com/FlickerPresentation 5

Energy-Saving Sensors and Controls

Shown with standard, rounded end cap and integrated sensor option

Staple LED can be specified with digital controls technologies that further enhance performance and extend functionality.

Daylight Dimming and Occupancy Detection Save energy with an optional, integrated sensor that provides daylight dimming and/or occupancy detection. Choose an nLight® sensor with both motion and sound detection or go wireless with an XPoint™ Wireless sensor (coming soon) that is controllable via a smartphone or tablet with optional software.

System Networking Staple LED suspended luminaires can be specified as network-ready for networking with Acuity Brands Controls systems. For nLight systems, an embedded nLight module allows for easy Cat-5e “plug-and-play” connectivity. For XPoint systems, an embedded XPoint Wireless module (coming soon) allows for easy wireless connectivity.

Digital Lumen Management A built-in digital lumen management option delivers constant lumen output throughout the luminaires’ lifetime, extends LED longevity and saves roughly 10% in energy use. By maintaining constant light output for 12-15 years, the need to over-light spaces to compensate for lumen depreciation (as is often done with fluorescents) is eliminated.

Efficient Performance in Application Delivering up to 120 lm/W, Staple LED helps reduce electricity use and meet power density requirements. With a standard 80/20 indirect-direct distribution, Staple LED delivers needed lumens on work planes while effectively illuminating whole spaces with natural, even lighting. For applications where more downlight is desired, Staple LED may be specified with optional distributions of 60/40, 50/50, 40/60, 20/80 or 0/100.

Great Features and Options

T5/T5HO/T8

LEDs Staple LED is available with two LED packages (HI or L0) and three color temperature options (3000K, 3500K or 4000K). Housing Staple LED’s housing measures 8 1 ⁄2” wide by 2 3 ⁄8” high and is made of cold-rolled steel. Nominal 4’, 8’ and 12’ individual sections can be joined together using internal joiners to form extended rows. End Caps 1 1 ⁄8“ rounded end caps come standard or choose 5 ⁄8” squared end caps. Both end cap styles are made of die-cast aluminum. Colors Choose a high gloss white, low gloss black or painted aluminum finish. Consult factory for custom colors.

10

Installation Made Easier To reduce overall installation time, individual sections (IND option) can be ordered with pre-installed end caps and power cords plus all the necessary installation hardware included in the luminaire packaging. To simplify luminaire leveling, Y-hangers with adjustable cables come standard on the suspended models.
