PROJECT 2 3I.GA+HO.BI CONTAINER

Eco Fashion is not only the creation of secondhand shopping space, but also a place where people are able to recreate recycle materials into unique clothes. These will help to encourage 3Rs, raise environmental awareness to the crowds and reduce fast fashion. Fast fashion is defining as cheap, trendy clothing that samples ideas from the catwalk or celebrity culture and turns them into garments in high street stores at high speed to meet consumer demand. People tend to follow the latest trend and starting to purchase trendy and cheaper clothes. However, fast fashion's impact on the environment is immense for example the use of cheap, toxic textile dyes—making the fashion industry the second largest polluter of clean water globally after agriculture. Besides, it also increases waste, greenhouse gases emissions, rainforest destruction etc. The reason Eco Fashion is established to improve the unpleasant situations of the environment. Eco Fashion also provides a platform for fashion designers and people to meet and exchange ideas. In collaboration with Mellooi Creation Sdn. Bhd. , Eco Fashion is intended to act as a platform for designers to find inspiration and boost creativity as there will be a fashion exhibition held weekly. Besides, Eco Fashion also aims to promote Malaysia fashion culture as Melinda Looi recent years' designs were more towards Malaysian traditional clothing.
