Sale of Produce Global Solutions to G’s Marketing Following our work with G’s Marketing on the company’s acquisition of Mother Earth Organic Mushrooms Ltd, we advised on the sale of a majority holding in Produce Global Solutions (PGS) to G’s Marketing. This investment enabled G’s Marketing to capitalise on the opportunities in PGS’s market. As part of the expansion strategy, a state-of-the-art mushroom farm and anaerobic digestion plant were built near Littleport, East Cambridgeshire.

G’s Marketing is a part of the Shropshire Group. It supplies salads ad vegetables to major retailers including Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, ASDA, Morrisons and Marks and Spencer. Produce Global Solutions (PGS) is a major fresh mushroom supplier that sources mushrooms primarily from Holland for UK retailers.

Sale of Elsinore Foods to Golden Acre Dairy Foods PEMCF advised on the sale of Elsinore to Golden Acre Dairy Foods Ltd, a nationwide supplier of fine foods such as continental meats, cheeses, yoghurts, pastry, spices and other delicacies. The sale followed a competitive process involving a number of other buyers. The two companies had clear synergies in terms of logistics and product, making Elsinore an ideal strategic acquisition for Golden Acre.

Elsinore is a Cambridgeshire based supplier of seafood and delicatessen products. Formed in 2009 through a management buyout from Danfood Ltd, Elsinore supplies across the UK to retailers such as Waitrose, Tesco and Ocado. Its products, most of which are sold under the Elsinore brand, include caviar, mussels, crayfish and pâté.

Lake leads our Corporate Finance team. He has over 25 years’ experience as a corporate finance adviser working with owner managed businesses. Following experience at international accountancy firm EY, in venture capital with 3i and in industry he joined PEM to establish its Corporate Finance practice in 2004. He has extensive transaction experience in food, agriculture and other sectors.
After an early career with PWC, Tony became a founding team member at PEM Corporate Finance in 2004. He has extensive experience in leading transactions including company sales, management buyouts, and finance raisings. He has experience in food and agriculture and other sectors. Both Lake and Tony hold the ICAEW Corporate Finance Qualification.
