İSTANBUL

Where two continents meets...

Weave a fabric of silver, gold, silk and satin threads with designs of the very ancient together with ultra modern patters … that’s Istanbul. Anyone interested in history, culture and architecture can feed their appetite for knowledge of same. The ancient architecture of Istanbul seems to have this perpetual appeal, beauty and charm as if time hasn’t managed to get its wicked way. Museums, Christian churches, palaces, mosques and suspension bridges all appear on the horizon. As you go over the Bosphorus bridge you may not realise whether you’re in Asia or Europe but one thing you’ll know for sure is that you’re on a high! Looking down below at the winking blinking lights of Istanbul you could be under the illusion that the milky way came down to earth! It is utopia for people who were born to shop … if you can’t buy exactly what you want it can be made to order. The Egyptian bazaar is an experience of delightful aromas and scents of oils, spices and herbs, which waft through the air. Turkish cuisine, comparable only to French and Chinese in its appeal has to be sampled and savoured in the numerous restaurants. For the night owl there’s endless places to enjoy oneself ranging from Turkish restaurants with live folk music to jazz clubs and traditional old and modern bars. There’s everything … along side the hustle and bustle, vim and vigour of a lively city there’s the serenity and tranquillity of the old world. It’s easy to understand why people chose to settle here and so begin the foundations for a glorious city. If you get tired of Istanbul you’re tired of life Topkapı: Imperial residence of Ottoman Sultans exhibiting imperial treasury, Chinese porcelain, weapons, calligraphy section, and the Harem. Saint Sophia: Now called as Ayasafya Museum, is unquestionably one of the finest buildings of all times. Built by Constantine the Great in the 6th century as a basilica, its immense dome rises 55 meters above the ground and its diameter spans 31 meters. Blue Mosque: Facing St. Sophia, stands the supremely elegant, with six minarets, imperial Sultanahmet Mosque. So called its interior gleams with a magnificent panelling of blue and white Iznik tiles.

İSTANBUL Grand Bazaar: This labyrinth of streets and passages houses more than 4,000 shops. Still the commercial centre of the old city, the bazaar is the original shopping mall with something to suit every taste and pocket.

Serenity and tranquility of the old world

Bosphorus: The winding straight that separates Europe and Asia. Its shores offer a delightful mixture of past and present, grand splendour and simple beauty. Süleymaniye Mosque: Considered the most beautiful of all imperial mosques in Istanbul, built in 16th century, by Sinan, the renowned architect of the Ottoman golden age, in the name of Süleyman the Magnificent.

İZMİR REGION

Welcome to the Aegean Sea

Turkey's third largest city, Izmir, contemporary, sophisticated, but also a busy trade center. Very pleasant to walk around with its bustling shopping center. West of Izmir brilliant waters, superb beaches and thermal springs extends from Cesme Peninsula. Ephesus, which is one of the most famous cities of antiquity, the Roman period was one of the world's largest cities. Incorporating all the riches of Ionian culture, Ephesus had a reputation for intense artistic activity. The so-called ‘’good’’ Turkish ızmir. Izmir surrounded by yachts and boats are at the beginning of a long and narrow bay. Has a temperate climate and fresh breeze from the sea in the summer heat of the sun takes all. There are palm trees and wide streets along the coast. The second biggest port after Istanbul to Izmir port. Vibrant and cosmopolitan city, and the Izmir International Fair and the International Arts Festival has an important place.

MARMARİS - FETHİYE MARMARİS

A Wonderful experience in nature

The first time you see Marmaris, you will be impressed so much by this extremely well organised, neat and attractive town with its fringe of palm trees along the contour of the harbour where yachts rest or get ready to set sail. Into the bargain it’s a gourmet’s delight because of the top class restaurants catering for all tastes, but especially for those who have a penchant for seafood. You will remember and cherish the sun setting while sitting down to a table of scrumptious cold starters, chilled wine or raki (the national drink unique to Turkey), grilled bream, prawn salad followed by a medium sweet Turkish coffee. After dinner a stroll around the town plus some window-shopping if fancied, could be the “icing on the cake” for your day. Bon Appetit!

It’s not just the beauty of Marmaris that will mesmerise you but the adjacent surrounds of the town. It’s almost like the pine forests are in the back garden they’re so close. Not so far away there’s Dalyan, famous worldwide for its turtles. The nearby lagoon of sandy beaches defies description. Conditions in this area lend themselves to ideal places to go rafting, paragliding and such extreme sports.

İçmeler: The hazy mountains of the interior slope down to sandy beaches. Under blue skies, the clear water is ideal for all types of water sports. Dalyan: On the inland waterway, the maze of channels is easily explored by boat as you immerse yourself in this tranquil dream world. Kaunos: High on the cliff face, at a meander on the river, above the fascinating ancient harbour city, magnificent tombs were carved in the rock. Ölü Deniz: where the calm, crystal clear water is ideal for swimming and other water sports. This is one of the best places in the world to do absolutely nothing except soak up the sun amid stunning natural surroundings. Fethiye: This popular resort, 135 km southeast of Marmaris, boasts an important marina at the head of a beautiful bay dotted with islands. A hill crowned by the ruins of the crusader fortress built by the Knights of Rhodes overlooks the little harbour.

KUŞADASI

In the cradle of nature and culture

For pleasure, leisure, your fun and fancy from dawn to dusk and throughout the night too, Kuşadası is a must. It can be said it’s a town that doesn’t sleep. When you catch a glimpse of this town, a real nodal centre for the whole Aegean, from the road descending into Kuşadası you can feel the pulse and buzz of the beauty spot it is. It’s a heart which pumps such vibrant life into itself and to the surrounding areas via many arteries and veins. Swim, dance, stroll, dine, wine, sunbathe, is just to mention a few of the variety of things to do. The proximity of Kuşadası to some of the most unique ancient settlement sites of the world and religious shrines undoubtedly contributex to its major importance as a nerve centre for a large area. Cruise liners, larger than life berth here from far-flung destinations. Kuşadası is the front door for guests from mainland Greece and its islands. The constant ebb and flow of visitors from these liners add an extra dimension to an already multi-dimensional resort. For a holiday, with or without as you please a superb cultural experience –look no further.

The name Altınkum means "Golden Sand " and when you see the wonderful sweep of its beach you will know why - it goes without saying that you can have the perfect "sun and sea" holiday here. Altınkum is an easygoing and relaxing resort, with a good choice of restaurants and snacks bars; by early evening the streets are bustling and you'll find lots of lively bars, with karaoke, quizzes, dancing and entertainment for all the family. It is also a perfect base from which to explore the many historic and scenic sites which are close by, first and foremost among them the Roman city of Ephesus.

BODRUM

Sun in the day, fun in the night

BODRUM Bodrum has got style. A style all of its own. It’s such a place that it’s just “the stuff that dreams are made of”. Picture in your mind’s eye the sheer beauty of a town of white houses with blue windows clad in handmade cotton laced curtains nestling beside the azure of the Aegean. If a snowdrop grows and blooms in the winter then love grows and blooms in the summer in Bodrum. In the summer heat you can feel cool dancing an open-air disco arguably the most spectacular in the world. On top of its own personal beauty and charm Bodrum has great restaurants, shopping facilities plus a marina with array of posh yachts, which easily spark off the desire to go on a “Blue Voyage” around the Aegean and Mediterranean seas.

There’s no simile, which can be used to compare Bodrum to anywhere else. Bodrum is just a unique of off creation. Castle: Is a fine example of the 15th century Crusader architecture and has been converted into a Museum of Underwater Archaeology, with remains dating as far back as the Bronze Age. Mausoleum: Halicarnassus was the birthplace of Herodotus and the site of King Mausolus’ Tomb, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Gulets: These graceful boats were once built as fishing boats to ply the coastal waters. Today, master craftsmen have adapted the vessels specifically for cruising and in so doing have managed to maintain the charm and space of their predecessors.

TOURS TO PLACES OF RELIGIOUS INTEREST Throughout the centuries different persuasions have been worshipping and paying homage to God, saints and prophets in such interesting ways and in various different places. No where is this more apparent than in Turkey. There’s a church, mosque and a synagogue right along side each other, for example, and even a Christian Church dating back to the 4th century. St. Paul has left a legacy of many churches and of course the famous footsteps of St. Paul, which you can re-trace. When you see Ephesus the Bible comes alive … then you remember St. Paul's letters to the Ephesians. Very near Ephesus you must see the Blessed Virgin’s House, which was visited by Pope John Paul II The ancient Mevlana philosophers motto “come, come, whoever you are, come” certainly shows the openhearted, open-armed approach which has been so much part and parcel of Turkey for centuries. Seven Churches of Asia Minor (suggested itinerary) Day 1 Arrive İzmir. Meet our Guide and transfer to your central city Hotel. İzmir (ANCIENT SYMIRNA) was the second of the seven Christian churches in Asia Minor to which St. John the Divine wrote (Revelation l-11). Dinner and overnight. Day 2 City sightseeing of İzmir, then proceed to PERGAMON (Bergama). Visit the Throne of Satan. Continue to the healing centre, Asclepion. In the afternoon Proceed to TYATIRA another of the Seven Churches. See the remains of a Basilica and other ruins from the Roman Period. Return to İzmir for overnight.

Day 3 After breakfast depart for SARDIS, another of the Seven Churches mentioned by St. John. Continue to PHILADELPHIA, another of the Christian Congregations and a city built in 2 BC by King Eumenes. Continue to PAMUKKALE (Hierapolis). Watch the sunset over the petrified waterfalls. Overnight in Pamukkale. Day4 Visit HIERAPOLIS and then LAODICEA, before continuing to EPHESUS. See the final abode of the Virgin Mary where she spent her last years. Tour thorough ancient Ephesus to see the old synagogue, the theater where St. Paul preached (Acts 10), the Library of Celsus and other sights. Millenium Party, Dinner and Overnight Kuşadası Day 4 Today is left for your relaxation and leisure. Day 5 Transfer to Izmir Airport for your homeward flight or to you accommodation for the rest of your stay.

BLUE CRUISE

The blue Aegean and Mediterranean beckons! Consider a special kind of holiday on board a handcrafted traditional Turkish gulet. These graceful boats were once built as fishing boats to ply the coastal waters. Today, master craftsmen have adapted the vessels specifically for cruising and in so doing have managed to maintain the charm and space of their predecessors. Gulets are wide bottomed, beamy vessels with comfortable sleeping cabins, each with private toilet and shower facilities. Above deck there is ample space for lounging and relaxing. Meals are generally served al fresco on the large rear deck. The crew consists of a captain, first mate/cook and assistant. They are all Turkish, but at least one will speak English. They know these waters intimately and will make sure that in your week on board you have chances to visit the most beautiful and interesting points along the coast. Each day consists of several hours of cruising with the rest of the time being left for swimming, snorkelling, windsurfing, hiking and exploring on shore ruins. Meals are prepared on board and will give you a chance to experience the best of Turkish cuisine. Local fish, produce and meats will be prepared each day and local wines and liquors are available for purchase on board. An alternative to chartering an entire boat is to join one of our regular departures and charter one cabin. You will have a chance to meet people from around the world while enjoying one of the most unique and relaxing holidays in the Aegean. All cabin charter cruises begin and end in at many Aegean and Mediterranean coastal resorts mainly on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the season..
