Spring has sprung! We are so fortunate to spend our days here in beautiful Boca Raton. Are you looking for ways to enjoy this beautiful sunshine? Take advantage of our beach cruisers with a relaxing ride to the beach or to your favorite shops and restaurants downtown. Or, enjoy an evening with your neighbors at one of the many fun activities we have planned like trivia night, yoga, or happy hour! Thanks to your cooperation, last month we seamlessly introduced the new parking membership program. If you upgraded to a Gold or Platinum membership, I am confident you see the value in having a reserved space and access to valet. If you are a Silver member, please park on Levels 3 and 4 in a non-reserved space. Our Parking Manager, AmyBeth, and her team are on site from 7:00am-11:00pm to assist with all of your parking needs. We’ve loved seeing so many of you at our Thursday Happy Hour Social. This month we are also bringing back our summer music series, 101 Rays of Fun, where you can enjoy a live performer by the pool on Saturdays from 1:00-3:00pm. Believe it or not, it’s also time to start thinking about the official start of summer – Memorial Day! Jenniffer, our Lifestyle Director, is planning a BBQ & pool party you won’t want to miss! COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT SPONDER GALLERY Deborah Sponder began her art career as a private dealer in California in 1983. Twenty years later, she joined her mother in Boca Raton as a partner at Baker Sponder Gallery. In 2013, Sponder Gallery emerged with a strong presence in the international art fair circuit. The gallery’s 30 year history boasts a roster of established and mid-career artists and over 200 high quality exhibitions. Notable one-person exhibits have included Lyn Chadwick, Friedel Dzubas, Dan Christensen, Frank Stella, William King, Donald Martiny and Boaz Vaadia. Artists who display innovative techniques and a unique approach to materials are paramount to the gallery’s aesthetic. In addition to their exhibition spaces, they facilitate major sculpture projects at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, the Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne, Coconut Grove and their new store downtown on Palmetto Park Road. The gallery focuses on contemporary abstract painting and sculpture and maintains an inventory of strong secondary market work. They also offer personalized support and consulting in all aspects of collecting and appraisal services. Be sure to stop by for an exclusive exhibit for 101 Via Mizner residents only on Monday, May 21st from 6:00-7:30pm at their newest location in Boca Raton at 413 East Palmetto Park Road #106.
MEET THE TEAM BIANCA ABBOTT Assistant Property Manager I happily grew up in upstate New York, spent almost a decade in southern California and have now been in South Florida for almost five years. It’s fair to say, where the warm weather and beaches are, that’s where my heart is. That of course includes my young family. I am a proud mom to my son, Hudson and daughter, Olive. When I’m not enjoying my time here at work, I’m running around to lacrosse games and dance practice. I try to sneak a run or bike ride into my schedule to offset all the baking I like to do. I truly enjoy working in Property Management because I get to meet so many wonderful people, including all of you here at 101 Via Mizner. I began my journey as a leasing agent years ago and worked my way up to the Property Manager position. I left the industry briefly to raise my babies and I’m happy to be back, especially at such an exquisite property!
