Recognized for Excellence in Stroke Care
Pennsylvania Hospital has received the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Award and qualifies for recognition on the Target: Stroke Honor Roll-Elite. “With this recognition, Pennsylvania Hospital is now part of an elite group of hospitals recognized by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association,” said Anjan K. Chatterjee, MD, chair of the department of Neurology and PAH and the Elliott Professor of Neurology. “Stroke management at Pennsylvania Hospital has been on an impressive trajectory of improvement since first being designed by The Joint Commission as a primary stroke center in 2012,” Chatterjee said. Since that time, the Center was recertified in 2014, and has achieved the Bronze, Silver and Gold Get With The Guidelines recognition awards in under three years. “None of it could have

ANNUAL PAH HOLIDAY MEAL! ‘Tis the season for celebrating and all hospital, professional and affiliated medical office staff and volunteers are invited to share in the annual Pennsylvania Hospital holiday meal. This festive event full of traditional and delicious holiday fare and fun will be served in the Elm Garden Cafeteria, on Tuesday, December 8th. The serving schedule includes five luncheons and two dinner seatings. Please see your supervisor for tickets and seating times.
