Authors launch new books In a Celebration of Creativity Ellen Burt will launch her new book, What Forever Feels Like, a memoir of Johnsons Landing, on Friday, February 15 at The Bridge, 116 A Vernon Street in Nelson. The event features readings from the book as well as poetry and music. A second event on Saturday, February 23 at Oxygen Arts Centre, 320 Vernon Street, includes author Luanne Armstrong with her new book, A Bright and Steady Flame. Two Kootenay authors, two memoirs, full of tales wisdom and fun. Books will be for sale at both events. Admission to each is a suggested $5 donation to cover the costs of the events. Adeline Elizabeth Dixson It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Adeline Elizabeth Dixson (Klatt). Born in Nemiskam, Alberta to Mary and Rudolph Klatt on January 13, 1926, she was the second oldest of six children. After completing high school at a convent in Medicine Hat she became a telephone operator. Later she married Gordon Dixson and had five children, 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
