Ronald Reagan read the tea leaves, repurposed the Nixon/ Goldwater “Southern Strategyâ€? and made his second run for the White House. MY TRUTH
By Cheryl Smith
Publisher
If it’s not bothering you, the people you love, or the world, leave people alone. Too often we judge people by our own standards while we are totally clueless about other’s issues. I’ve often told the story of a man who people were offended by because he didn’t act like he knew/remembered them. “He was looking right at me and didn’t speak!” Of course, me being me would ask, “why didn’t you speak to him?” Now that’s another story because there are so many reasons why he didn’t speak. He could be sick, distraught, have lost his glasses, or his mind could be in many other places. It was only later that information was shared that the man was indeed almost totally blind. Then I had a friend who had an early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Many didn’t know and still today, many don’t understand the disease. She looked gorgeous and in great health and she always had a smile on her face. Could you please forgive her when you walk up to her and ask
I Messenger
Live and Let Live “you remember me” and she doesn’t? According to Dr. Jonathan Graff-Radford, of the Mayo Clinic, “Of all the people who have Alzheimer’s disease, about 5 percent develop symptoms before age 65.” My friend was in her mid 40s and died in her 50s. Heck, there are some people who think “do you remember me” is a rude question even if you aren’t suffering from memory loss. I hear people ask that question frequently and when they walk away, you might hear, “Why do people do that?” The updated version is to follow your question with, “I’m your Facebook Friend!” Or God forbid, it is someone you met 10 years ago and have never seen or heard of since! Or it’s the guy or girl (I don’t judge) who you meet one time in a club, you get a phone call and they think they can begin a conversation without an introduction and seem offended if you don’t recognize their voice. One thing is for sure, you’re better off telling the truth because there are those obnoxious souls who when you say
“Sure I remember you,” their response is “Then what’s my name?” I usually say, “help me out.” If they are really gracious, when they come up to shake hands or hug, they reintroduce themselves and I get to say, “I know who you are!” People are actually operating from their reality, not yours, when they ask certain questions or make judgments about another’s reality. Which brings me to My Truth. Because of blood clots several years ago, I have a discoloration on my leg. For a brief time, I was self-conscious about what I looked at as a disfiguration, instead of a blessing I wanted to cover it up, or stand in a way where people would have a hard time even noticing it. Then one day, I had a moment. I looked at the discoloration on my leg and I told myself that I was majoring in the minors. Here I was with two legs and I am concerned about what others think. Hadn’t my wonderful doctor, Bill Glaze, just recently told me that there was some concern that I might not make it out of
I Messenger my surgery because there was a chance the blood clots could race to my heart? Wasn’t I walking around, against doctor’s orders, in high heels? Wasn’t I taking dance classes, still able to walk in the rain with the one I love on my mind, and drive a car, or bounce, rock skate and roll? If anyone had a problem or took issue with my discolored leg, I needed to leave the problem with them. The problem was their reality not mine! Just like it is your reality if you see someone walking in the winter without a coat on. You’re freezing, so of course you say something like, “Now, they know they are freezing and need a coat on!” You wouldn’t dare dye your hair pink and purple so you make a judgment call when you see someone with their multicolored hair and call it silly or something like that. It may be silly to you, but guess what? It’s not your hair. You’re probably the same
person who would try to get out of jury duty by saying you couldn’t judge because only God can judge!” Well stop judging people you don’t know or know anything about. “Well, if that was me…” Stop. Hold up! It’s not you! Surely you understand that you only get one life to live and life is too short. You can spend your whole life making others happy and if you outlive them all, you’re left with the only person you didn’t make happy. Live your best and do your best. If whatever you do makes you happy

world. A peeled back, memory-filled exploration of “playing” and its role in shaping who we are and what is culture, Brown celebrates the journey Black girls experience as they grow up playing rhythmic games. With original music compositions and live music, Black Girl is steeped in rhythms of African American dance including social dancing, dou-

From play to protest, the performers come into their identities, from childhood innocence to girlhood awareness to maturity—all the while shaped by their environments, the bonds of sisterhood, and society at large. Founded in 2006, Camille A. Brown & Dancers is a dance company that is cultivated in storytelling. Camille A. Brown has received acclaim as choreographer of several Dallas Theater Center productions often workshopped for NYC’s Public Theater (Fortress of Solitude, Stagger Lee, and Bella) and most recently for Broadway’s Tony Award Winning Once on This Island, and NBC’S Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert featuring singer John Legend. She is an inventive Black female choreographer that creates emotionally raw, soulful, thought-provoking work rooted in both ancestral stories and contemporary culture. Brown aims to provoke, engage, and inspire by presenting authentic performance and facilitating cultural and educational dialogues among audience members. Each TITAS Presents performance residency includes community engagement opportunities directly connecting visiting artists with patrons including pre- and/or post-show conversations and master classes. Each Black Girl: Linguistic Play performance culminates with The Dialogue. Since 2012, The Dialogue has become a signature of Camille A. Brown & Dancers performance experience that provides an opportunity for open discussion between the artists and audience about the work.

Caraway resigns from Dallas City Council FROM STAFF REPORTS
Any thoughts of Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway re-assuming the role of Dallas Mayor again quickly dissipated with a guilty plea and resignation last week. News reports, social media posts and talk radio focused on Mr. Caraway’s announcement last Thursday morning. In a plea agreement, Mr. Caraway pled guilty to federal criminal conspiracy charges. The Dallas native admitted receiving more than $450,000 for his support of a deal involving Dallas County Schools (DCS and in a letter to the City Secretary, BilieRae Johnson, he wrote: Please let this letter serve as my official resignation from the Dallas City Council, effective immediately. Over the past several weeks, through a lot of prayer and soul searching, I have decided that I must take responsibility for my actions. I have dedicated much of my life to serving others, but have never claimed to be without sin. I am truly sorry that I must end my career as an elected official because I betrayed the public’s trust that I worked so very hard to earn. Other than my family and God, there is nothing I love more than the City of Dallas. It is time to remove the dark cloud that my actions have brought upon our city. I will not allow a proofed legal battle to become a distraction for our citizens or my colleagues on the council. It has been the highest honor for me to serve and lead the citizens of this great city. I am forever grateful to my constituents, colleagues and supporters for allowing me the privilege to do so. Eventually, I hope that I will be judged not by my darkest moments but rather the context of my entire life, including the years that I pray lie ahead.” Mr. Caraway ended the correspondence by saying that he has been advised by counsel not to comment further and he asked for prayers and privacy “as we go through this difficult time.” The City Attorney Larry E. Casto announced a special election for the November 6, 2018 election to fill the vacancy for the remainder of Mr. Caraway’s term, which ends in 2019.. According to Mr. Casto, The city council must order the special election by August 20, 2018. “Therefore the
City Secretary’s Office is in the process of placing an item on the Wednesday, August 15, 2018, briefing agenda to call the special election. Once the election is called the candidate filing period begins, and the filing period ends on Thursday, August 23, 2018.” As early as noon, just a few short hours after the announcement was made, names were thrown out as possible successors to the seat, including former Dallas City councilwoman Carolyn King Arnold, who held the seat for two years after term limits led to Mr. Caraway stepping down. At the next election cycle, Mr. Caraway reclaimed the seat. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, he attended Texas Southern University, where he joined Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., he is married to Barbara Mallory Caraway, former Dallas City Councilwoman and Texas State Rep. He represented District Four on the Dallas City Council from 2007-2015, serving for four consecutive terms and being term-limited in 2015. During his time on the Council he served on various committees, including terms as the chair of the Council’s Public Safety Committee (when the city experienced record-low crime numbers) and the Chair of Quality of Life Committee. While serving, he became Mayor, February 26, 2011 when Mayor Tom Leppert, resigned. Upon becoming Mayor, he focused on reducing crime, attracting companies, jobs and investment to Dallas, and worked to balance the budget while minimizing the impact on city services. Even before he served on the Dallas City Council, Mr. Caraway was known as a go-to person on community issues. His first act of public service occurred during his time as at Roosevelt, fighting to get sidewalks built along Bonnie View Road. His memberships and associations included Founder of Dallas Youth Council, Pylon Salesmanship Club, Cotillion Idlewild Club, Dallas NAACP and Cedar Crest Neighborhood Association. He lists his major accomplishments as: -As Mayor Pro Tem, fought hard to bring the Texas National Guard to demolish drug and crack houses in the City of Dallas and rid neighborhoods of drug havens.
-Collaborated with developers and community groups to bring sustainable businesses to District 4 like Rudy’s Chicken, the business anchor established in 1992, and further new development on Lancaster Ave. (June 2013). -After a hard fight to demolish the crime-infested Southern Comfort Motel known for assaults, robberies, carjackings, homicides, prostitution and drug sales, demolition finally took place in 2008. Collaborated with developers to build the $7 million Serenity Village that is part of Lancaster Kiest Village, a 2.5-acre center that is located across from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The gated property has 193 apartments that include new retail and office buildings. Serenity provides two and three – bedroom homes for low-income tenants, primarily single mothers and is conveniently located near the DART rail line. The complex also includes educational and health services intended to help residents become self-supporting. -Spearheaded and collaborated with Habitat for Humanity and former U.S President Jimmy Carter to build single family homes in District 4. -Organized the very successful Gun Buy Back Program. The event offered a $50 gift card in exchange for a working firearm, which helped get more than 150 guns off the streets -Instrumental in the JOPPA community by fighting to get a bridge approved so the constituents may have access to the Dallas Horse Park -Fought for the Re-Development at Beckley-Saner Recreation Center – among other features that include a Baseball Field, Computer Lab, Fitness Center, Fitness Center Showers, Gymnasium, Kitchen, Large Meeting Room, Outdoor Basketball Court , Parking, Picnic Areas, Playground, Recreation Center, Small Meeting Room, and Tennis Court. -Fought to keep open Southern Skates Rink and had one of his many teen summits in the rink. -Spearheaded the 2nd Neighborhood Wal-Mart development in Buckner Terrace. -Led the charge on stray dogs for the City of Dallas. -Key instrument in the development of the Trinity River Corridor Project with a combined investment of $2.5 billion from all interagency partners, public and private sources. Led the charge in moving the community court from Stemmons Fwy. to the DART Police Headquarters station on Corinth St. -Highly supported the development of the 5.2acre deck park (Klyde Warren Park) built over the recessed Woodall Rodgers Freeway between Pearl and St. Paul streets in downtown Dallas. -Fought for the construction of $3 million Cedar Crest Golf Course Clubhouse, a focal point for community and social events Redevelopment of Cedar Crest Bridge/Golf Course Clubhouse. -Requested to have the most updated lighting designs and fixtures at the Corinth Street Bridge. -Fought to have the iconic 67½ feet tall, 22 feet long, and 10 feet, 2 inches wide tall giraffe sculpture along I-35 that took up residence at the Dallas Zoo in January 1997.

Enough with racism in rooftop solar industry Recently, news came out that the electronics retailer Best Buy, decided to reconsider their partnership with a company called Vivint. The partnership allowed Vivint employees to work inside Best Buy stores, to sell Best Buy customers products capable of reducing their home’s energy usage. The potential decision by Best Buy is apparently just business, but it is a welcome piece of news because Vivint seemingly has a problem with African Americans. Vivint isn’t alone when it comes to struggling with race. There has always been bigotry in this country. In 2018, thanks to the leaders of the civil rights movement who risked their lives fighting for equality and justice, things are much improved. But these days some racists in this country are feeling encouraged to express their ugly views in public or discriminate against people of color. Recently, Vivint Solar -- one of the largest sellers of solar panels in this country -- was sued in California by a black employee who alleges his superiors likened him to a monkey, used a racial epithet against him and that his coworkers used cardboard boxes to build a fort around their desks that was marked as “whites only.” The complainant’s lawyer provided pictures of this absurd and abhorrent cardboard façade to the media, and the Washington Post published its photo. David Bywater, the top executive at Vivint Solar, told the media that he was “deeply disturbed” by these allegations and: “I want to firmly state that Vivint Solar has a zero-tolerance policy for racial discrimination and harassment in the workplace. Our company is built on the strength of diversity.” This is precisely what a CEO is supposed to say, but a person of conscience would back them up with action. A deeper dive into Vivint’s practices makes me ques-

pressure tactics. Vivint Solar is connected to Vivint Hom\ Security, a company that also has had its run-ins with the law. Last year, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxson reached a settlement with the company for al-
Balderas says the company which sells rooftop solar panels employed “high-pressure sales techniques and procedures designed to mislead consumers” and lock their customers into contracts lasting 20 years, with rates that increase “by over 72 percent,” as the agreement matures. Also, according to the Balderas’ office: “The complaint also charges Vivint with filing improper notices in consumer real estate records that operate to cloud titles, and in some cases making it difficult for New Mexico consumers to sell their homes.” There is some evidence that consumers of color and low-income consumers are targeted for these
legations the company violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. This, combined with the action by the New Mexico Attorney General, paints a picture of a company that is not treating customers fairly. I’ve been interested in the solar industry because it is an expanding industry that increasingly provides new opportunities. However, there also seems to be additional opportunities to exploit consumers, especially minority consumers. I’ve written about my concerns about the ways the industry targets less sophisticated consumers, echoing concerns raised by several members of Con-
gress in a letter to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in early 2017. In response to my concerns, the Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA) used a consultant to harass me and my staff. I received and accepted an apology from the CEO of SEIA. I hoped they were sincere in their stated concerns about consumer protection and also about diversity in their industry. But Vivint Solar, with its “whites only” fort, is a member of SEIA. Vivint’s actions seem inconsistent with SEIA’s stated values. What must they do? I have some ideas: First, SEIA should ask Vivint Solar to leave their trade association. If SEIA wants to represent rooftop solar makers that respect consumers and employees, then Vivint Solar is a wrong choice. If SEIA doesn’t take action against Vivint Solar, there is no accountability, which only further erodes trust with minority communities. Further, SEIA should back up their statement that “CEO, Abby Hopper, has established diversity of solar’s workforce and customer base as among her top three priorities” and their “Diversity Best Practices Guide” by funding and hosting consumer education seminars around the country to better inform consumers – and minorities – about their rights when it comes to rooftop solar. I have always been excited about the ways solar energy can reduce our dependence on fossil fuel as a power source. But the solar energy movement is crippled when companies like Vivint Solar both take advantage of customers and discriminate against minorities. It’s not enough to have a “Diversity Best Practices Guide.” SEIA needs to let best practices be their guide in their dealings with Vivint Solar. Silence is complicity. It is time for good people to stand up against racism. Best Buy, SEIA –

Hollywood Hernandez Live By Hollywood Hernandez
The Meg
THE MEG is a $150 million special effects feast! The story is pretty basic; it’s a man, Jonas Taylor (played by Jason Statham), against a 70-foot pre-historic shark. Jonas has a history with THE MEG. Several years previously he lost most of the crew on a project he was working on and his “big fish story” got him the reputation of being a crazy man. However, when a deep-sea exploration project traps the crew deep under the ocean, Jonas is the person they call. While rescuing the crew from the frigid deep waters he opens up a path to shallower, warmer water that a megalodon (or two) can swim up through. The megalodon was the largest animal to ever inhabit the oceans of the earth and the movie does a good job using science with a good storyline of what could happen if an animal like THE MEG could still exist.
Read more and win tickets at www.hollywoodhernandezlive.com
While Stratham almost carries this entire movie on his shoulders there is a little bit of a love story with Stratham and a fellow crew member, single mother Suyin (actress BingBing Li), and to add a little extra cuteness her eight-year -old daughter is played by Shuya Sophia Cai who fans the flames of romance between her mom and Jonas. The movie is filled with excitement. It’s a simple plot, but a fun
one nonetheless. I enjoyed the thrill ride of the giant megalodon trying to feed on everything in its path and Stratham’s attempts to kill it. The end of the movie begs for a MEG 2. The movie is rated PG-13 and lasts for an action-filled 1 hour and 53 minutes. On my “Hollywood Popcorn Scale” THE MEG rates a LARGE.
Hollywood is always live, hosting a movie screening, collecting school supplies and attending a gala (A Midsummer Night’s Dream).

Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson recnetly hosted her annual Youth Summit and Diversity Dialogue at Southern Methodist University for students from all across North Texas. This year’s summit, featuring “Dynamics of Diversity” as this year’s theme, connected more than 60 high school students from across the DFW Metroplex with prominent youth and professional leaders who shared their experiences and stories of diversity to inspire the students and adults in attendance. “Diversity is not a burden to bear but a gift to celebrate,” said Congresswoman Johnson.
“All of us, regardless of where we come from or where we live today, can determine the destiny of our country by embracing our role as future leaders, so long as we put our minds to it. No matter what obstacles we face, success is in our own hands. And by coming together around our common hopes to achieve common goals, we can continue to make not only ourselves better but our community and our country as well.” Each year as summer concludes, Congresswoman Johnson hosts this day-long summit, in conjunction with the Aga Khan Council for Central United States,
to bring students from diverse communities together to bridge divides by offering a forum to not just constructively address and gain insights into the differences amongst each other but learn to celebrate these differences as proof of human diversity. Participants engaged in an interactive project to develop the key elements necessary for communities to embody diversity. “There is diversity in humanity. There is beauty and grace in the inherent variety and uniqueness within each one of us,” said Salim Rahimi, Honorary Secretary of the Aga Khan Council for Central United
States. “And therefore, we always look forward to collaborating with Congresswoman Johnson’s office to create this platform for a dialogue on diversity for our bright students of today and star leaders of tomorrow.” Speakers at the summit: · Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Cedillo-Pereira, Director of the Dallas Office of Welcoming Communities and Immigrant Affair · GianCarlo Franco, Attorney at Refugee and Immigration Center for Education and Legal Services (RACIES) · Dr. Kristen Guillory, Founder of KSGuillory Enterprises/ Cozy

An experience of a lifetime, the NABJ Convention
By Jessica Hayden Attending the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention for the first time was an amazing experience, and I was feeling honored to have the opportunity of a lifetime. I can admit I was extremely nervous. It was impressive to see the students from so many different universities and recent graduates who had so much energy and desire to learn more about improving themselves.
I met at least eight students from the NABJ group chats. They were super cool and nice people to hang out with during the convention. It was so busy from the time I started volunteering on day one, to the time I participated in the workshops, career fair and socializing. The hotel we stayed in was a perfect location so we were close to all the attractions in the area. However, I wish I could have spent more time with NABJ students instead of having to pair up with people I came with. Staying with individuals who are coworkers was a new experience for me. When you’re in a group going from one place to another, you have to stay together no matter if you’re used to doing things alone; especially when that is the mandate. I had to control my need to separate from the group until I met Roland Martin and took a picture with him. It is amazing how people you look up to are exactly how you pictured them in person. He is a very straightforward person. A high point of the convention was sitting in on the best workshop in my opinion, Journalism is Driven by Technology and In-

Dallas Black Dance Academy is preparing for its ninth year of instructing free Dance Integration classes for school districts across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, thanks to the sponsorship of Target. Last school year almost 800 students in nine school districts took part in the Dance Integration Residency Program classes that combined dance with their academic curriculum. K-12 students in 21 schools explored abstract concepts like symmetry, gravity, and geography through dance. The residencies are tailored to meet the specific academic challenges faced by each school. The classes also helped students improve creative thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Last year students from Dallas, DeSoto, Fort Worth, Glen Heights, Garland, Grand Prairie, Mesquite, Richardson, and Rowlett school districts took part in the program. If your school or school district would like to learn how to get involved in the DBDT Dance Integration Residency Program, email academy@dbdt.com. Dallas Black Dance Academy, the official school of Dallas Black Dance Theatre, is celebrating 45 years of delivering dance instruction to a community of diverse backgrounds. Over 550 students, ages four to adult, participate weekly in 50 dance classes of ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and African at DBDT studios. The academy has three performing ensembles: Allegro Performing Ensemble (DBDT's premier academy ensemble), Senior Performing Ensemble, and Junior Performing Ensemble. I love my fat wife
Ask ALMA Dear Alma, Before I begin, let me say upfront that I love my wife. That said, in the years since we wed, she has gained considerable weight. When we eat out, she stuffs herself like a pig and never misses a chance to order dessert. When I hint that she might forgo the sweets, she calls me a killjoy. On top of all of this, she refuses to do any exercise that requires her to break a sweat. Sure, I’ve gained weight, too, but no one would ever accuse me of being fat. How do I talk with my wife about this without making her feel self-conscious or unattractive? Despite the extra pounds, she’s still the apple of my eye. Friends say I’m asking for trouble. E.P.; South Carolina Ahhh, yea E.P., And they’re right…almost. It all depends on your delivery. Confronting a woman about her weight can be as psychologically risky as a woman talking to her man about…well, you know. Here’s my confession: I, too, gained weight over the years while my husband diligently maintained his well-groomed looks and muscular physique. What turned me around, you asked? Picture this: Dayton, Ohio 2008. We were at Aunt Prevella’s
70th birthday party and cousin Lelar was taking pictures. Long story short, she took a picture of me, a side view. While looking through the photos on her camera, like the Isley Brothers I asked, “Who’s that lady?” Her answer: “That’s you.” In the parking lot later on, she stepped to me lovingly, sister to sister, and said, “What’s going on with you, girl? You’ve got to do something; your health is at risk.” She was right and hooked me up with nutritionist Roxanne Koteles-Smith,

When the moment’s right, let her know you’re concerned about her health and the few extra pounds she carrying. She knows what that means. The weight came off so fast my coworkers thought I had undergone gastric bypass surgery. Trust me when I say I know how your wife is feeling. She knows she’s overweight, and this just may be the motivation she needs to do something about it. Even if you decide to broach the topic, it has to be her decision to make a lifestyle change. So let’s come up with a plan, Stan. I suggest you fol-

Wings’ Skylar Diggins-Smith wins WNBA Community Leadership Award
WNBA President Lisa Borders, Skylar Diggins-Smith and University of South Carolina Women's Basketball Coach Dawn Staley
Story and Photo By Dorothy J Gentry Sports Editor
She’s been the face of the Dallas Wings franchise since she was drafted in 2013. She’s also one of the faces of the WNBA, a fan favorite nationwide, and a 4-time AllStar. And now she’s the recipient of one of the League’s most prestigious honors. Dallas Wings team captain Skylar Diggins-Smith has earned the WNBA Dawn Staley Community Leadership Award for her extraordinary work in the community. The award, which is named in honor of WNBA legend and Hall of Famer Dawn Staley, recognizes a player who reflects Staley’s spirit, leadership, charitable efforts, love for the game and inspirational presence in the community. The Dawn Staley Community Leadership Award is presented annually. Diggins-Smith was selected as the winner from a group of nominated WNBA players.
The WNBA will make a $10,000 donation to the South Bend Venues Parks and Arts Foundation on behalf of Diggins-Smith. “My passion to be involved in the community comes from my parents and my stepdad,” said a smiling Diggins-Smith who was presented with the award during a special pre-game ceremony at College Park Center on the campus of UTA, where the Wings play. “They were always so involved. Through them, I learned the importance of being outgoing and giving back,” she said, adding that her experience at a Boys & Girls Club in South Bend, Ind. (her hometown) helped her gain even more of an appreciation for community service. Staley, the head coach of the University of South Carolina women’s basketball team and the USA Basketball Women’s national team, was in town recently, along with WNBA President Lisa Borders, to personally present the award to Diggins-Smith. “As an alumnus of the Boys & Girls Club, Skylar has dedicated herself to being a champion for children,” said Staley. “Her commit-
ment to ensuring that the Boys & Girls Club is a positive place for kids and teens gives them an opportunity for a brighter future.” Said Borders: “Skylar understands the importance of empowering youth to reach their full potential. A deep commitment to the community helps make her an exceptional ambassador for our game.” Diggins-Smith is being honored for her support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and her positive impact on youth basketball. Last year she was inducted into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame. She has worked extensively with a Boys & Girls Club in Dallas, serving as a coach in a basketball game between children and staff and hosting a surprise private screening of “Black Panther.” Diggins-Smith also plays an active role in youth basketball through her Shoot 4 the Sky camps and her support for the Sky Diggs Soldiers, who represented the Midwest Region in the inaugural Jr. NBA World Championship. The team of elite 13- and 14-year-old girls is coached by Diggins-Smith’s stepdad.

Do you know this man?
POLICE have not apprehended “Pookie” the serial rapist. We know he has attacked members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and there is a $5,000 reward offered by Crime Stoppers.
HE IS A SERIAL RAPIST
He targeted members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. but this is more than about a sorority. We’re talking about a community. Come on PEOPLE! Don’t you CARE? Will it matter when it is your sister, mother, aunt or grandmother or maybe YOU?
