Volunteers are the lifeblood of our theatre. They are what fuel the art you see on our stage. In Terra Nova, I can feel the heartbeat of the rich and vibrant community that keeps us curious, tenacious, and courageous. Last summer the story of Terra Nova touched our hearts and earned high praise from audiences, but in a heartbreaking turn of events the final weekend of that run had to be canceled due to a medical emergency. Months later, in an act of bravery and charting new waters, director Scott Ramp and the rest of the cast and crew banded together once again to put that final weekend back on the calendar and bring this story back to life.

I am incredibly proud and grateful to the cast and crew who resurrected this production for this weekend only. The road to get here was not without obstacles, but it is with persistence and passion that they moved forward. For a group of people to be so fervid in their determination and so unwavering in support, speaks volumes to me about what this story means to them and what it can mean to us all.

In Ted Tally's Terra Nova, we follow Captain Scott and his team on their valiant quest to the bottom of the earth. I can't help but feel the spirit of that courage is with us today, pushing us to make it to the finish line, come hell or high water.

Congratulations to the team of Terra Nova on a successful and exciting expedition, and thank YOU for being here to witness it with me.
