Paimpol coco bean is easily recognizable by its straw yellow color and the small violet marbling of its pod. The grains are white, almost oval in shape. Its culinary qualities and its originality (manual harvesting of pods) justified the award of the first controlled label of origin awarded to a fresh vegetable in 1998.
