Townsville’s youngest and most creative minds have designed their own 3D Leonardo da Vinci machines, da Vinci-inspired illustrations or created their own inventions for display in The Galleria, Riverway Arts Centre to accompany the amazing Da Vinci Machines exhibition at Pinnacles Gallery! The artworks fall into four sections and prizes will be awarded for each section according to age groups.
Artwork Sections 1. Drawing - Recreate your favourite Leonardo da Vinci artwork, anatomical drawing or machine using any drawing, digital, print or painting medium on paper. 2. Drawing - Invent your own machine and draw it on paper. Use text to explain what your machine does. 3. Sculpture - Reconstruct one of Leonardo da Vinci’s machines out of any material to make a three-dimensional sculpture. 4. Sculpture - Invent your own machine and build it to make a three-dimensional sculpture. Think about incorporating moving parts like cogs and pulley systems in your invention.
