Art Teachers Professional Development Opportunity 11am - 1pm, Saturday 4 June 2016 Pinnacles Gallery, Riverway Arts Centre Join soft sculpture artist Michelle Hall in a LilyPad Arduino workshop exploring how to incorporate LED lights into textile creations. Participants will learn how to utilise a coin cell battery holder, a 3V battery and conductive thread to light up a washable LED light. Extending their learning, participants will also make a parallel circuit connecting multiple lights to one battery. LilyPad technology is on the cutting edge of contemporary textile design and can be incorporated into wearable art units. The session is free but bookings are essential as spaces are limited.
