Townsville City Council through the Galleries’ Creative Classrooms initiative provides Visual Art teachers from the Townsville Region with the opportunity to attend free professional art development workshops throughout the year.

Sunday 14 February 2016 Perc Tucker Regional Gallery From 10am - 2pm, enjoy Perc Tucker Regional Gallery’s Art Book and Print Sale where you can find stunning books packed with ideas and examples from the best contemporary artists and performers. Perfect for teaching and inspiring students!

9am-11am Fantastic Plastic with artist Alison McDonald Learn how to cut, fold and manipulate old water bottles and bits of recycled plastic into cool colourful jewellery that makes a bold fashion statement. 11am – 12.30pm Mould Making and Inkodye Resist with arts educator John Eaton John Eaton from Oxlades Art Supplies will be demonstrating new art materials including a reusable mould making product, Liquitex Pouring Medium and a fantastic new Inkodye resist application.
