SPATIAL COMPOSITION This model were made of 5mm balsa.

I got the idea from the inspiration of mountain and wave, which is significan differences between height and reapeating.

The technique that used for this landforming is stepping and sloping in order to show a extrusion.
LANDFORMING
The blue ground is not water actually, which was just for distinsh the model and base more easily since they were all white.

ASSEMBLAGE
The strategy used for this assemblage is Grafting. Some ideas behind step and mountain are quite similar so I just merge the steps with balsa and keep the slope.

There are creatures living in the sky, Like whales. They were born with curiosity. An ocean divides them. Like a mirror. They can see other creatures peeking at them from beyond the mirror surface. Should they pass through? What is on the other side? But how? Catch a wave, They meet.

REFLECTION For the site analysis, what our group had done well is we presented and analyzed the assignment very clearly. For my personal shortage, the sun/shade diagram could be more intense to show those shades. For the spatial composition, what I had done well is formed the concept successfully. However, the model is quite small. The drawings still need to be developed. For landform, I just show the extrusion but ignore the importance of subtraction, which missed a component that could make the landform better. In addition, the material wasn’t chosen very well. I should use other material rather than use paper, which makes the landform became light. Using paper would lose the weight of the landform. For the assemblage, like what had been discussed in class, although grafting technique has been applied the model was not rely on the grating. I could show more grafting on this model. For superimposition, the image was lack of architectural elements which was not helpful for develop a plan. For final project, I think what I have done well is the model, sections and plan were formed quite well. And I show my narrative in the model. However, the activity, meeting, didn’t successfully show in the project. It’s more like a path instead of a meeting place. And the shape might be too literal. In conclusion, I think my final project was good in forming but poor in defining. >>>
