Here grand

Ayodele lies Constantia is a rather gracious area half way between the west and east coast beaches of the Peninsula, peaceful and stylish, brimming with wine farms, top restaurants and designer shops. It is where gin and tonics are served on the veranda at the end of the day and Labradors grace lush rolling lawns.

It is here, set in a truly magnificent garden amongst exotic palm trees, frangipani, agapanthus, strelitzia, lemon trees and herb gardens that the rather grand Ayodele lies. Ayodele, Constantia

Sense of history

& magical

beauty

There remains in Croatia an authentic rawness which leaves travellers feeling they made a connection with the locals and experienced the real thing. This is certainly true for Lopud – a tiny island, under five square kilometres, which one traverses on foot or by bicycle. And it is here that we have uncovered a rather special home.

Restart & relax

There’s a delicious sense of being far removed from it all once ensconced at Casa Blu’, a loftily proportioned, contemporary take on the charming fisherman cottages so beloved of the region. It has the typical whitewashed walls, shuttered windows and wide, shady stoep, but with lots of clever details and immaculate styling thrown in for a look that manages to be both sophisticated and perfectly relaxed.

Joie de Vivre Reminiscent of its roots, the revived farmhouse shares its medieval foundations with parasol pines, ancient olive trees, white rose bushes, rolling lawns, and over 700 lavender hedges. A young olive grove of 30 Lucques trees borders the vines and les bois that surrounds. Afternoons can be spent on the pétanque court or in the 17-metre swimming pool, that entices you in to its cooling waters where a good book can be enjoyed as you take shade beneath the parasol.
