I’m Carli, lead designer and owner of Perfect Salt Studio, and I get so excited (seriously!) to work with couples looking for some help with their big day! A little about me: 1. I have a super dorky sense of humor 2. I absolutely LOVE Mexican food, photography, and sparkly things (in no particular order) 3.My family and friends tell me I have serious addictions to both Pinterest and coffee. They may or may not be right... We love all types of couples at Perfect Salt, and find the challenge of creating custom designs exciting. Hsio Ling & Bastian - Amsterdam Their wedding details: Hsio Ling and Bastian had a beautiful aesthetic planned out for their big day: Lots of blush pink with deep navy as an accent. The only requirements for their design? It needed to feature a tandem bike (a symbol that was dear to them) and include a button icon where guests could scan to RSVP and get details about their big day. The result: A sweet design showcasing both their romantic & modern sensibilities. Custom items: Save the Dates, Invitations, RSVP Cards, Wedding Venue Signs, Escort cards
Miranda & Jace - Chicago Their wedding details: With a gorgeous palette (silver, soft plum and deep purples) to work with, I couldn’t wait to help Miranda bring her vision for Save the Dates (complete with a modern, fairy-tale-esque vibe) to life! Featuring delicate silver foil-press on luxe, pearl-finished felt cardstock, the couple’s design featured a fun photo of from their engagement photoshoot on the alternate side (see the next page for even more photos!). The statement I hear the most from clients is “Great! Now how do I get started?”. Here is a little breakdown of how we go from an idea to your perfect wedding set:
STEP ONE: GETTING TO KNOW YOU This is where I get to know more about you and your special day. I’ll gather details and ideas you have either in person, or via email if you are farther away! This is a great step to share any Pinterest boards or other idea pieces you have. You can also do this via our forms on www.perfectsaltstudio.com
STEP TWO: CUSTOM QUOTE & PAYMENT After you review your budget and how many pieces you will need (I can help with this!), I will make you a custom quote. At least 50% of your quoted price is due before I can begin work on your custom design.
STEP THREE: PROOFING I take the inspiration and requirements you give me, and head back to the studio to draft some designs. Proofs (up to 3) are sent to you via email. After selecting your favorite, you can then let me know if there are any changes (wording, coloring, etc.) that you would like to see.
STEP FOUR: PRINTING Once you have approved your final digital proof AND completed your payment, I will begin your printing process. Upon receiving final approval for your design, no more changes can be made. Once the printing process has begun, there are no refunds available for your order. Printing usually takes 3-7 business days, and can be shipped to you or picked up in person if you live in the Salem area!
Because I take the time to get to know each of my clients, I have learned some pretty great tips (and have some of my own!) from the last few years. Here are some of my favs for you to consider as you start your planning process:
DON’T RUSH IT While I try to help each client meet their personal deadline (whether you’re eloping in a month or planning a year early), sometimes it isn’t possible to take a “last minute” order because our design calendar is already full...bummer for you, and me too! I advise clients to send out invitations at least 1.5-2 months before their special day, and start the planning and ordering process at least 2 months before that, when possible.
PREP FOR POSTAGE Remember to factor postage for shipping your beautiful invites/announcements into your final paper goods budget! This is an easily overlooked factor that can make a BIG difference on your bottom line. Factor stamps, special charges (like an additional cost for square or 4x8 envelopes) and international shipping.
IMAGINE YOUR PERFECT DAY I love making designs that reflect YOU. Is your day fancy and romantic? Awesome. Let’s go with that. Having more of a casual affair? Sweet-let’s put that vibe into your design and give everyone a heads up of what your day is about! Wording, design and style can all play a part in this.
WORD TO YOUR…? How your invitations are worded is a great way to let people know all the important info about your day. Knowing who is hosting the wedding, all the who/what/where/when info and what kind of vibe you want is crucial!
