standard hotel- lobby
The Standard Hotel is located in the Financial District of Downtown Los Angeles and with typical clientele of young professionals. The idea of Journey, derives from the idea of the city of Los Angeles coming back to action and moving again after the pandemic. Macro and micro views of transportation movement like train systems, highway and city blocks came to mind when conceptualizing the idea of journey. The architectural language conveyed in this space is the linear movement and curves from the city blocks and highways.
