WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACHIEVEMENT? This year, after training for only 6 weeks, I rode 165 miles from Miami to Key West and was part of a group of 500 amazing people who came together for 2 days for the selfless achievement of raising $1.6M for World AIDS programs.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION? Most years, we have a family talent show that is super hilarious since most of us have no innate talents.
FAVORITE HOLIDAY SPLURGE? I allow myself to have small portions of dessert; watch ALOT of bad holiday movies sitting next to an amazing fire that my husband built (that man loves him some fire making!)

WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACHIEVEMENT? In 2016, I dedicated my life to clean eating and fitness. Dancing professionally throughout and after college, I have always been active, but never knew how to truly take care of myself. When I moved to DC, I knew I wanted to help others find the same passion for fitness and became an instructor!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION? Piling into a bunch of cars with family, driving out into the country to our favorite tree farm, and searching for our Christmas tree!
FAVORITE HOLIDAY SPLURGE? I love to buy gifts for everyone in my life... While also sneaking in something for me (probably too much for me!)

WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACHIEVEMENT? I was an elite level competitive figure skater until 2009, and a professional figure skater for Disney On Ice domestically and internationally. Currently, I teach Learn To Skate classes, and coach private students at Medstar Capitals IcePlex and have been involved in coaching since 2004.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION? I have SO many traditions around the holidays, but what makes them all so special is that they are done with my family. So I think my ultimate favorite thing about the holidays is being home with all of my (and my husband’s) family in one place.
FAVORITE HOLIDAY SPLURGE? All the food of the holidays!! I definitely get excited for all the delicious dishes and desserts! My family is Romanian so it is a Christmas tradition to make stuffed cabbage - and my mom’s version is incredible! She even makes a big pot to bring over to my mother in law’s for our big Christmas Eve get together since my new in-law’s have been requesting it like crazy!

WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACHIEVEMENT? I am a former professional Tennis player (beat current Wimbledon Champion Angelique Kerber and played #1 for Virginia Tech: Go Hokies!); instructor at PPW since April and loving it!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION? Being originally from Germany I love the traditional Christmas Markets and seeing my family over the holidays. Extra Bonus if it snows: nothing like waking up to a winter wonderland.
FAVORITE HOLIDAY SPLURGE? Sitting by a fireplace and having a hot drink that warms your hands (gloves optional); Also all those cookies :-)

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION? Trimming the tree with my entire family at my parents house. We listen to our favorite Christmas songs as decorate the tree whic h is always a real tree, either a Frazier or Douglas Fur.
FAVORITE HOLIDAY SPLURGE? Hands down is Blac k Friday shopping, I almost have it down to a science lol. I literally tr y to buy all my gif ts in one day. I love being out shopping with all the people at midnight. Food wise I tend to splurge on the sweets, throughout the year I’m ver y strict but I c heat during the holiday season.

WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACHIEVEMENT? I first found PPW as a client in January 2018 and fell in love with the workout. I started working there about a month later - both at the front desk a few hours a week and as a part-time business consultant. In addition to the signature PPW reformer workout, I enjoy yoga, barre, and walking/running outside as much as possible.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION? I love to cook, so unlike many people, I really enjoy cooking big holiday meals even more than eating them! I’m not very traditional, though, so I often try to convince my family to skip the typical holiday menu and just make a fabulous meal for everyone to enjoy. I tend to host more dinner parties in the winter, too, since it’s so dark and cold - a great excuse to stay in with the people I love!
FAVORITE HOLIDAY SPLURGE? I definitely tend to spurge (time and money) on self care given the stress of the holidays and the lack of sunlight - massages, new workouts, bubble baths, getting extra sleep, and great food, to name a few.

WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACHIEVEMENT? A co-worker once challenged me to run a marathon. Even though I had never run more than the required 1 mile in elementary school, I said ok, I’ll do it. I trained with an amazing group of people where we supported each other by showing up with jokes and gummy bears. The day I ran 10 miles was one of the biggest surprises of my life. The power of the mind over body - what an incredible revelation! And then to continue training and eventually finish the London Marathon....that was epic! As well as a one time deal. I learned that my body and mind much prefer low-impact strength training...like what I teach at Pilates ProWorks!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION? On New Year’s Eve as the clock strikes midnight you will find me out on the street banging pots and pans! When I was little my Grandma used to lead my cousins and I around the neighborhood banging pans to the tune of lots of noise and cheer! It thrills me to continue the tradition with my husband, our kiddos and whoever is visiting.
FAVORITE HOLIDAY SPLURGE? I love going out on the town! All the bright lights, holiday music, bubbles and laughter. I have a tendency to overload our schedule with lots of performances, concerts, and holiday markets. It can sometimes get a little nutty....I want to do it all!
