Transportation

There is a conveyor belt of projects that happen in advance of any large-scale investment in the design and construction of transit/aviation infrastructure. These projects can be years in the planning phase before they are funded and built. This is further complicated by the fact that many of the services happen incrementally, often via on-call contracts, and are primed by large, multidisciplined engineering firms to which we might be a sub-consultant. In some instances, we will also act as prime (Perkins&Will and Nelson\Nygaard). At the other end of the spectrum, these projects can be led by large-scale contractors in design-build, public-private partnership (P3), or other form of alternative financing.

Questions from Clients

nj How can planning and design improve mobility and accessibility in the urban core?

nj What initiatives can be undertaken to reduce the environmental impact of urban development?

nj What amenities and public spaces can be integrated into the transit-oriented developments to improve community livability?
