Virtual Perkiomen

Perkiomen School transitioned to Virtual Perkiomen for the third trimester of the 2019-2020 school year in adherence to mandates from the Pennsylvania Department of Education due to COVID-19. Academic content was delivered via both synchronous and asynchronous models. Adjustments were made to provide the best learning experience for students taking part in learning across the world and across multiple time zones. While assessment methods, class schedule, and content delivery were altered to accommodate student participation, the breadth and depth of our courses was maintained at the rigorous levels that have long been associated with Perkiomen. As such, letter grades continue to reflect the quality of work completed by each student. A full year course reflects three equally weighted trimesters, with final letter grades for each course calculated into a student’s GPA. This teaching and assessment model support the values and principles of Perkiomen School while maintaining academic integrity and addressing student’s educational and social-emotional growth. Please view the counselor letter of recommendation for an explanation of any unique circumstances.

Entrepreneur, Medical, & Artificial Intelligence Institutes

The Institutes at Perkiomen School make a liberal arts education relevant to students through rigorous application. We are leading and challenging our students to build competency and confidence. Today’s students need to be lifelong learners with strong core skills like adaptability, creativity, and the ability to recognize opportunities. Our on-campus Innovation Center and off-site experience partners provide the spaces and places for student discovery to solve problems and add value in today’s changing world.
