17 Day Intensive in Thailand Sept 23th –Oct 7rd 2013 Description:
In this Permaculture course we will learn how to create regenerative systems that provide for our basic needs without comprimising the environment or future peoples ability to do the same. Using a variety of learning techniques and strategies this course presents Permaculture as an integrated design approach to create sustainable human habitat. This course will be innovative in that not only will the course be about Permaculture, but it will also model it by its structure and environment. Course time will consist of traditional lectures, guest presentations, group discussions, games, exercises, hands-on projects, photos, movies and site visits. In addition to the classic PDC curriculum, the owner -manager of Faasai Resort and Spa Bronwen Evans, a former economics correspondent for Radio New Zealand will give a guest lecture about alternative economics, and the staff of Faasai Resort and Spa will demonstrate traditional farming techniques in Thailand.
Location:
The course will take place at White Water
Lake, an integrated organic farm and nature sanctuary on the southeast coast of Thailand which was established by Faasi Resort and Spa.
Extras: Practical hands-on classes will include building a solar panel, developing a grey water pit, building a spiral garden, worm box and cultivating indigenous microorganisms.
Tuition: The course includes accommodation at the resort (2 persons sharing a room) plus three meals a day. The cost of the course is US $875, with an early bird price of $795, which will be available up until 23 June or until places run out (up to five early birds per course).

Rico Zook For the past 20 years Mr. Zook have been a Permaculture designer, consultant and instructor working with private individuals, farmers, villagers and local organizations to create culturally and environmentally appropriate life systems in northern New Mexico, India, Cambodia, the middle east and places in between.
