Distribution and description of DCFG roles 1. Hepburn Wholefoods Collective/ U3A/ Bus Shelter contact: Lena Mazza To encourage greater participation and further relationships between Hepburn Wholefoods Collective, U3A and DCFG. To continue to manage and co-ordinate participation of Bus Shelter beautification project. To document these projects with photographs and written captions and send to Ian Robertson and Kate Gerritsen. 2. Albert St gardener/DSC/Insurance roll contact: Alison Wilken To welcome and inform newcomers at working bees and harvest swapmeets. To advocate on DCFGs behalf at DSC school council meetings. To work with Ruby Scott and Luke Pither to get the DSC Food Forest project running and continuing work to get the DSC canteen and home-economics using healthy local foods. Assist Jo Kidd and/or Kate Gerritsen with insurance roll at working bees. List all participants, give list to Jo Kidd. 3. Albert St working bee co-ordinator: Tony Soccio To welcome and inform new and existing working bee participants. Write up on front chalkboard notices of upcoming Albert St events (such as working bees). Write up jobs list on wall chalkboard before working bees. Replace chalk if out. Give out jobs at working bees. Arrange for materials, tools and plants to be at working bees. Make sure no tools or other implements are left after working bees. Keep compost areas clean. Make sure there is nothing to trip on or obstruct access in gardens (work with Fiona Porter to improve access). Mow as required. Work with Sam Tucker as co-co-ordinator. 4. Albert St working bee co-ordinator: Sam Tucker To welcome and inform new and existing working bee participants. Albert St Harvest Swapmeet co-ordinator: Lindy Churches To continue to organise and promote Harvest Swapmeet, including a seed exchange meeting at least twice a year. Link up with Jo Kidd and Fiona Porter (Hepburn Health) and Dora Berenyi (Food Bank) regarding excess food distribution after swapmeets. Work with Ian Robertson to produce a poster/flyer for working bee and Swapmeet united events to promote and grow gift economy around local food. Work with HRN. 6. Albert St water roster co-ordinator/ DCFG point of contact: Peter O’Mara Continue to organise and co-ordinate summer water roster at Albert St garden. Answer and distribute (to relevant role/s) incoming correspondences on behalf of DCFG. Work with Kate Gerritsen in arranging suitable responses to HSC requests and in writing/editing DCFG press releases.

7. Daylesford Secondary College/ Rea Lands Park/ The Arc contact: Luke Pither Raise funds, project manage and build community around DSC food forest project. Work with Ruby Scott, Alison Wilken and DSC to achieve this. Co-ordinate management and participation of Rea Lands Park (particularly mulching and pruning). Work with Seb Klein (DNC) to develop The Arc food garden. 8. Hepburn Health Service/ Rea Lands Park herbs/ Insurance roll contact: Jo Kidd Continue to strengthen relationships with HHS and broaden participation with HHS clients around community food. Work with Fiona Porter (Rural Access) and Dora Berenyi (Food Bank) to achieve this. Co-ordinate participation and development of perennial herb gardening at Rea Lands Park (including interpretative signage). Be keeper of the working bee rolls (for DNC insurance purposes). 9. Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre working bee co-ordinator: Mara Macs Co-ordinate garden maintenance and food crop plantings at DNC. Work with Anthony Petrucci and DNC to achieve this. Help promote community food growing and consuming at DNC and liase with Lena Mazza (Hepburn Wholefoods Collective) to strengthen relationships and potential joint projects between DCFG and HWC. 10. DNC working bee co-ordinator: Anthony Petrucci Co-ordinate garden maintenance and food crop plantings at DNC. Work with Mara Macs and DNC to achieve this. Help promote community food growing and consuming at DNC and liase with Lena Mazza (Hepburn Wholefoods Collective) to strengthen relationships and potential joint projects between DCFG and HWC. 11. Rural Access liaison/ Hepburn Health Service contact: Fiona Porter Continue to strengthen relationships with HHS and broaden participation with HHS clients around community food. Work with Jo Kidd (HHS) and Dora Berenyi (Food Bank) to achieve this. Continue to develop accessibility plans for all community gardens in the shire. Make bridges between DCFG and other community gardens in the shire. 12. DCFG photographer/ Facebook/ Hepburn Shire Council contact: Kate Gerritsen Keep Facebook page continuously active and full of images and information connecting all the various parts of DCFG. Photograph DCFG events regularly and write up FB posts, especially for forthcoming events. Work with Ian Robertson to repost his blog posts on FB, and work with others to get photos and info to post of events you were unable to get to. Liase with HSC regarding all matters concerning leases and annual reports. Work with Peter O’Mara in arranging suitable responses to HSC requests and in writing/editing DCFG press releases. 13. DCFG blogger/ graphic designer/ event photographer: Ian Robertson Keep blogsite continuously active and full of relevant archival information concerning DCFG developments. Photograph DCFG events regularly. Work with Kate Gerritsen and others to get photos and info of events to archive. Work on DCFG posters and flyers to help build participation and awareness. Work with Su Dennett and Maureen Corbett to integrate HRN and DCFG events and produce print material for promotion.

14. Daylesford Secondary College food forest student contact: Ruby Scott Work with Luke Pither, Alison Wilken and DSC to aid the development of the DSC food forest. Make sure that student interests and young people’s ideas are represented by DCFG when it comes to community food and sustainability. 15. Daylesford Community Reserve/ home-educators contact: Georgina Williams Continue to co-ordinate the development of DCR food garden. Work with DCFG and the local home-educators network to build participation around this garden. Continue to promote good relationships with council officers and councillors. To document this project with photographs and written captions and send to Ian Robertson and Kate Gerritsen. 16. Hepburn Relocalisation Network contact: Maureen Corbett Work with Su Dennett to cross-promote DCFG and HRN projects and events. Work with Kate Gerritsen and Ian Robertson to produce cross-promotional material and social media. Work with Alison Wilken on DSC canteen improvements and work to help integrate community food networking opportunities between HRN, DCFG and community supported agricultures. 17. Hepburn Relocalisation Network contact: Su Dennett Work with Maureen Corbett to cross-promote DCFG and HRN projects and events. Work with Kate Gerritsen and Ian Robertson to produce cross-promotional material and social media. Work with Alison Wilken on DSC canteen improvements and work to help integrate community food networking opportunities between HRN, DCFG and community supported agricultures. 18. Community Op-shop and Food Bank contact: Dora Berenyi Work to strengthen relationships with Community Op-shop and the Food Bank. Work to promote greater participation between the two groups, DCFG and HHS. Work with Jo Kidd and Fiona Porter to achieve this. 19. Permaculture design consultant: David Holmgren To continue to critique and evaluate any garden design DCFG may produce. (NB Go through HRN to contact David). 20. Community gardener/ consultant: Paul Dempsey Continue to garden, teach and promote community resilience through community food production.
