INFINITE SCROLLING

What is infinite scrolling? Infinite scroll has been called autopagerize, unpaginate, endless pages. But essentially it is pre-fetching content from a subsequent page and adding it directly to the user’s current page. Infinite scrolling is best adopted to: • • •

retain users; show complete content when that content is too large to show on initial load. show content that is normally available in paged chunks: search results, blog posts, product listings portfolio features, etc.

Advantages of infinite scrolling •

Users are retained on the site far better. Typically, users are less likely to continue on to the next page if they have to click something versus it being delivered automatically to them. Requires no adjustment for a user’s typical reading habits. The added functionality needs no affordances or instruction. As long as the functionality is enhancing an existing navigational structure, it remains SEO-friendly and accessible.

Automatically generated real-time filters Filters are created in real-time as the user scrolls down the page. At any point, they will be able to toggle what information they would like to see on the screen, using any combination of filters that are made available to them.

No more paginated pages Isnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t it awful to go back and forth between the same pages to read information? With the Infinitiâ&#x201E;˘ system, that headache is removed: data is pulled in as users scrolls down, and the information is displayed within the same environment once you click an action (see overleaf).

The property card How to show those all-important property details should be a serious consideration of all real estate websites. With that in mind, Perpetro has incorporated many of the most demanding requirements that a user might need with its My PerPOS™ and Infiniti™ systems. A convenient property card is overlaid onto your current vertical position using a modal window that becomes a fixed component of the viewing environment until you close it. The window itself also resizes vertically, adapting intuitively to the amount of information it needs to display. By integrating the window in this fashion, users: • • • • • •

do not lose their vertical position on the listing page; can perform additional actions on the property from adjacent Action Menu without being forced to visit another page; can switch between bookmarked (favourite) properties without needing to change pages (see later); are presented with all photos and thumbnails are presented with the company’s contact information, even if the main viewer is greyed out behind. can still link directly to this modal window via search engines, social networks, and other forms of communications with a speciallygenerated link.

A user can share any property to over 320 social networks, blogs, and feeds via this advanced shared tool. A URL is also made available to copy and paste should they wish to use the property elsewhere, e.g. email.

Recommend to a Friend is a popular tool for realtors who would like their visitors to share their findings with friends, family and colleagues. This can be done directly from the Action Menu. Name and email are stored for the duration of a userâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s visit to make repeat recommendations quicker.

Request more information encourages users to enquire about the property by providing a simple form related directly to the property ID. Like Recommend to a Friend, name and email are stored for the duration of a userâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s visit to speed up alternative requests.

My PerPOSâ&#x201E;˘ uses advanced, proprietary print technology that generates a miniature version of the print page at run-time. This provides an initial preview and a printer-friendly version of the property being viewed. It is also extremely useful for property window displays.

The integrated Currency Converter is directly linked to the Googleâ&#x201E;˘ online currency exchange, offering a large list of available currencies. The conversion is done at run-time, so users are always apprised of the latest international exchange rates. The active propertyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s value is added automatically for convenience.

The Mortgage Calculator is a simple but effective tool that allows users to provide themselves with an approximate monthly mortgage value. As with the Currency Converter, the property value is added automatically for convenience.

This useful tool can provide calculations based on a number of different metrics which can help foreign buyers to understand sizes that are depicted within the propertyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s technical data.

The map is an excellent tool for visitors and works directly with v.3 of Googleâ&#x201E;˘ Mapsâ&#x201E;˘ API, allowing for zooming in/out, street map, terrain, and satellite views. All locations have existing co-ordinates and are set to general zoom, but if a property has already been assigned coordinates, it will be pin-pointed on the map automatically with a short roll-over description on the pin itself.

This is a great tool to keep users on the website longer. If a realtor has a large database of properties, a user can see which properties are similar to the one they are viewing directly from the Action Menu. A user may directly view these properties without interrupting their current vertical position within the listings.

Bookmarking is an easy way for the user to store appealing real estate without needing to register or log-in with the site. Bookmarking is immediate and only stored temporarily. They can be removed or viewed from this page or from the dedicated My Bookmarks page. To retrieve the same bookmarks during another session or to send the list to someone, a simple URL is provided for convenience.

As you can see from the example above, many of the previous Actions can be found directly from within the property listings of the Infinitiâ&#x201E;˘ system. Clicking any of these action (except View Property), will provide the same features as those from the Property View page without the Action Menu in situ.

The design is compact, so it takes very little room on your page. The subtle animation also draws attention.

Impression Banners

Add eye-catching permanent banners to your real estate site. With this option, you can place permanent banners which can be static or animated, and will show throughout the site. It is a useful tool to promote your services or other companies.

To reduce the amount of space required on the screen, you can also opt to use impression banners. One or more spaces are allocated to the banners, which change on each page impression according to the number of impressions allocated to each. It is a great tool to promote your key services or for companies to advertise on your site.

Unlimited questions

Revealing the answers

The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) module is a great tool to post up all the standard questions you get asked. The questions are collapsed to keep the page clean. It also means you can add an infinite number of questions without the page looking “heavy” with written content.

Revealing the answers to all questions within this module is done by a simple click of the question. A box scrolls down to reveal the answer. The question is also highlighted for clarity. Previous answers are closed automatically before revealing the next to reserve space.

Advanced News Feed

Adding a basic news feed to your site in any language from a reputable news service can provide your viewers with additional content and save you the time and trouble of writing up the latest news from within the industry. This basic feed does not display images.

Manage your feeds You may also manage which feeds to show on your site from the Content Management System, previewing each before activating it for public viewing.

Save so much time editing a title, a price, location, or status by doing the editing directly within the list you are working on. Queue Your Images

Check your images

Easily select multiple files directly from your computer or camera and queue them for uploading. My PerPOS™ Core Real Estate Architecture Creative Design This involves the creative design all of the elements including structure, graphical user interface (GUI), buttons, CSS, and visual positioning of content throughout the site. The process will afford you and Perpetro the the opportunity to make vital alterations before the site takes shape in programmatical form.

Prototyping Perpetro produces early prototypes of the proposed system to ensure that functionality meets with the project objectives.

Programming On approval of creative, our programmers begin coding the design using the very latest crossbrowser technologies. A private website location on our servers will be provided to you from where you can oversee progress. Perpetro also prepares the core architecture in readiness for the other modules you have chosen.

My PerPOS™ CMS (Content Management System) Perpetro’s proprietary technology helps hundreds of our clients manage their own websites effectively and efficiently. This will be the last stage of development before the website achieves a “live” status. The CMS interface is password secure, intuitive, and extremely easy to use. My PerPOS™ Advanced Banner Management Module

This advanced module superceds the My PerPOS™ Simple Banner Module and can control all aspects of your banners and allows for much greater control and automate of how banners are displayed on your website. Banners will act in the following two ways, but in all cases: • banners can be assigned a start and end duration • operators can choose where, within the site, the banner(s) will appear • registration data will utilise a central company registration database, e.g. company information can be stored and shared with the My PerPOS™ Advanced Events Module • banners can be rights-managed if used with the My PerPOS™ Hierachical User Management module • banners can be either static or animated • banner sizes will use internationally-accepted sizes • when uploading a banner, a size restriction in Kb (filesize) will be imposed according to dimensions and type of banner chosen. Impression Banners Impression-based banners allow several companies to advertise within the same spot and can be reserved according to the number of impressions requested. Costs and payments will be handled off-line (although this module can be connected to an ecommerce gateway, if required). Only one banner will show per spot per impression, changing only after a user has made another impression of the page and according to number of impressions a client has bought. An algorithm will calculate the next likely banner to show - according to the duration schedule - and count down the number of impressions left within the database. It is likely that a company may want their impressions spread between several pages. In addition to the common requirements mentioned above, when a system user adds an impression banner for a customer they also have the facility to choose: • the number of impressions • when they should start and end • which pages to display the ad in (it could be one or more pages) • select it as a main banner or one of the four smaller ones. Permanent Banners These banners will conform to the start and end duration, but they will be permanently shown for that duration. If a permanent banner is chosen, no impression banners will occupy that spot. Options will be made available to select the page/location of this banner.
