TURBINE A fascinating evolution of the Double Rotor, the Turbine has rapidly become the iconic Perrelet collection. “Turbine” watches offer their fortunate users a range of optical and visual effects that are unique in the watchmaking world, thanks to the ingenious combination of a propeller-shaped upper rotor whirling at top speed with a dial surface on which designers can give free rein to their boundless imaginative powers. From diamond rays to the most sophisticated designs and all manner of geometrical variations, the Turbine collection lends itself to an astonishing number of aesthetically pleasing and playful games, without ever denying the brand’s horological authenticity, nor its fabulous historical past. The system developed by Abraham Louis Perrelet in 1777, ensuring automatic winding via an oscillating weight, remains as efficient as ever. Building on a unique, iconic and instantly recognizable design, the Turbine collection appears in countless guises designed for both men and women. Initially introduced in a 44 mm case, it has been enriched over the years with versions including the 50 mm XL, 41 mm XS and 38 mm XXS models, as well as the 47.5 mm Diver variation specifically intended for the underwater world and powered by a dedicated turbine.
Turbine XL Bigger, more powerful and even more sensational, the Turbine XL is astounding observers with its audacity and proportion. The cases with their dynamic and fluid lines, in DLC steel, titanium or rose gold house the technology of the Double Rotor, once again featured as a hallmark. The 12 turbine blades in titanium, which seem to be designed to slice through the air, slip under the black interior flange. The optical impact of this unique and unusual watchmaking specialty is even greater…

Turbine Deriving their aesthetical inspiration from the field of aeronautics, our engineers and watch designers have created a new adaptation of the Perrelet “Double Rotor”. The double rotor, transformed for the occasion into a turbine fitted with 12 blades made of titanium, covers the whole of the dial and slips beneath an interior black bezel. On the dial surface, stripes accentuate the optical effect and make the impact of this model all the more sensational. Exclusively on this model, the effect has been reinforced by the exceptional dissociation of the two rotors. The turbine is housed in a concave-shaped case of 44 mm-diameter. The crown, specially machined and integrated within the case, respects these perfect lines.

Turbine Diver This model features a symbolic and functional style designed for exploring the ocean depths. The upper rotor, evoking a submarine propeller, rotates above an entirely luminescent dial that shines in the darkness with a truly fascinating glow. Dive times are measured on a two-tone inner bezel ring, cleverly built on two levels. The Turbine Diver asserts its powerful personality within a dedicated 47.5 mm-diameter case featuring a distinctive fluted motif and “paws” straddling the bezel. It appears in steel and steel/DLC-coated steel combined versions, all water-resistant to 300 meters.

Turbine XS Taste Blue, green, purple, yellow… the Turbine XS Taste models feature tangy colors that are extremely trendy. Fine stones – sapphires, topazes, amethysts and citrines– set on the bezel echo the color of the turbines, while diamonds light up the white dials matching the straps. The models vary according to the brilliant or baguette cut of the colored stones. Two ruby-set variations are distinguished by a white turbine, and one features a vivid red strap.

Perrelet over the years… Abraham-Louis Perrelet and his grand-son Louis-Frédéric left their mark on watchmaking with their respective inventions : the automatic winding movement and the split-seconds chronograph. Today, the Perrelet company carries on this unique know-how and places the movement at the center of its priorities.
and visualize the automatic winding function on the dial. The synchronization of the two rotors, lower and upper, provides the opportunity to observe the perfect function of the movement and gives it a more efficient winding facility than that of classic models.
Worthy heir of an invention that today resonates in every automatic watch, it’s from this legitimate heritage that Perrelet derives its dynamism and creativity.
By adopting in 2012 the Alternance 10 (A 10) caliber, entirely produced within
The Brand proposes timepieces steeped in modernity, originality and exclusivity. All Perrelet creations are, without exception, fitted with automatic movements. Thanks to its ‘manufacture’ competency, the company is able to meet the expectations of the most sophisticated connoisseurs. The “Double Rotor” is the real incarnation of the singularity that characterizes Perrelet. With its unique conception and Perrelet patent, the Double Rotor is the Brand’s icon. The complexity of its mechanism makes it possible to observe
the group to which it belongs, the brand Perrelet is taking a decisive step on the path toward autonomy. A large portion of Perrelet timepieces, including this year’s new releases, are affected by this change. In due course, it will replace all the base calibers currently used by the company. With Alternance 10, Perrelet adds to its prestige the testimony of movements made entirely in-house. Perrelet, a veritable force in the field of luxury watchmaking, enriches this universe with elegance and refinement. The art of harnessing its watchmaking expertise, emanating from a long tradition and state of the art production, enables Perrelet to offer reliable timekeepers with an international 3-year guarantee.

Peripheral Double Rotor The Double Rotor plays a new trick : the upper rotor takes the shape of a ring revolving around the edge of the movement. It appears below arches formed by the hour-markers, on a subtly stepped dial. The equally refined cushion-shaped case is distinguished by its truncated angles and oblique fluted middle, thus reducing the perimeter on the wrist itself. The Peripheral Double Rotor comes in steel, rose gold or DLC-coated steel versions.

Classic Double Rotor With its unique conception patented by Perrelet, the Double Rotor represents the quintessence of the brand’s identity. It is a reference in the luxury watchmaking universe, and the extraordinary complexity of its mechanism enables one to observe and visualize the automatic winding function on the dial. The synchronization of the two upper and lower rotors provides the movement with a more efficient winding system than that of classical movements.
