Marcos Hernández English level 6 -008 How can languages make stereotypes? There are many languages in the world, each one has something specific or characteristical. Does the language define the identity of the people? That is what I am going to explain in this essay. People, who have grown up in a country or place with a different language, change the way how they see the world. Some words are used for their native languages, but they can´t be translated because they represent different things. Languages represents a different point of view to see the world. For example in New Guinea, they use the word dark and light to identify the colors. That doesn’t mean they can not recognize the difference between red and pink. Another example is the word blue. In some cases Americans use light blue or dark blue. But in Russian they have two different words. Even in South America they have two words to blue (“azul obscuro” and “celeste”). In fact this can affect people defining colors in a group. It is controversial because people think why they should learn or use different words to explain something with just one word. However it doesn’t work in that way. People can use variety of words to not get confused. The way how people can say a word or how they can pronounce it also influences in which way they are trying to express. Language can help people to express what they think. Whereas in some cases the languages and the society make some stereotypes that affects all the people, because they just look what people see unless they saw inside him. Therefore the language and the society force you to see the word in a different way. For example many times when we talk about some colors like black. People normally can consider the black is a dark color of, evil or
gothic. Therefore does it influence to discriminate? Another example is when people talk about white. The first thing that comes to people`s minds are peace or light. These kind of stereotypes affect indirectly to the racism. For example the problems when a people see a black man, they often try to avoid them. That is why a society influences in people when just these little examples. There are other stereotypes in language like the difference between the people talk in some cultures. For example in our country, when a person outside of the center city speaks different than a
person, who live in the capital center, often it suffers
discrimination, but they are just trying to express and explain their thinking the way he was taught. This type of discrimination is caused by the society that each person has grown up in. In the most of the cases people are involved. They are part of the thought that the society has determinate. People do not have freedom of speech, they are not able to development their own ideas, thoughts, and creations. Another example is that English speakers are considered better that Spanish speakers, because in some cases the investigations has more relevance. We know their investigation could have a development with a better equipment. However, it doesn’t mean that. Spanish investigations cannot be as well English scientist. These kind of stereotypes had determined a barrier in people’s thoughts in the way that they have grown up with a wrong ideology. That’s why people can’t develop an open mind and how language and the society try to focus you on the different way of thoughts.
Inequality in Education The society has been creating a big wall between the education and the people, which is inflicted by inequality in the education system. Education is extremely important. It gives people the ability to create, learn, be inspired and inspire others through knowledge. It allows you to create a life for yourself, to provide an income, support yourself and your family and achieve your career goals. However, this opportunity is not always available. This is commonly seen in developing countries. More specifically, education is often limited or even unavailable entirely for children, women and foreigners with different race for a long time. The unequal education is presented in the whole world. Each country has the same problem, but they have it in different ways. Foreigners sometimes are not able to fund their studies in private schools, so they have to study in public schools. Which do not have the necessary equipment. It is a problem that involves all races because there is still some racism in the schools. In fact for black people have been harder to get into a schools, as we remember before 1954 they did not have access to schools. According to Kimberly Hefling the education department there are inequities for black and some minority students. Many students considered to be minorities and blacks do not receive STEM (science, technology, engineering and match) which becomes a deficiency in the world of marketing (HEFLING, 2014). Whereas these matters are trying to help develop a better curriculum. Making this inequality to persons studying in educational institutions with very bad quality. Some countries have gotten in a poverty schools. The color line divides us still, even though some Americans believe that the discrimination have disappeared. However it does not cover all. The governments should support the poverty
school, or schools, which are so far of the city, because students need to get the correct knowledge to develop their ideas. A study found that there are more black children who demonstrate a lack of development in receptive vocabulary, expressive, to mathematics, recognition of colors, shapes, and numbers than white children (Cook, 2015). Why should there exist a problem like this, It assumes that education is equal. But one reason is that black children are more likely to be enrolled in poor quality schools. Schools that do not provide a right education, because these schools are not managed properly and do not have the necessary money. It causes that children continue to grow without showing good skills which tend to drop out of school because of this inequality. There are many types of influences that do not develop the intellect of people. One inequality is the problem with education that involves woman. For example a major problem in India is women are marginalized from education. It is estimated that women end their education in a year, while men are around 6 years. This clearly affects the development of women in the society. In India, one of the reasons why women do not study is that they are considered as assistants in home work. What is normally known as housewives. Another aspect that affects women is the society that is around them, because they care much more on the purity of women, and less in the education of them (Klate, 2012) This type of discrimination often has been developed by religion, because it creates barriers in some form for education. Another cause is the wars in these countries, which has education deficit, affect terribly to develop. By reason that the Government has to invest money in the army for their protection. But that money could be invested in education. There will be a
better educational development if the government create organizations that are very separated by cultural, religious and social impacts. One suggestion could be creating programs to achieve the goal of reducing inequality. Classic educational inequalities compensation programs exclusively focused on school and its students have been shown their limitations. Those who have greater ability to change are those that also take into account social conditions, level of education, housing and employment situation of the family, and that include goals related to education, health, food and the care of children. Other policies that attack the inequalities in all fronts is required: social and working conditions, level of studies, resources for schools, participation and education of families, educational programs to prevent early leaving, strengthening public schools and teachers serving students at risk of school failure and cultural. When people understand that the social classes limit the developing education, and they focus more in equality of everyone they will improve their knowledge.

Marcos Hernández & María José De La Torre ELP Level 6-008 Dennys Montaño Interpretation Essay Book Sculpture There are many ways to see art, understanding it and learning how to appreciate yourself on it. Social function of art is a significant phenomenon which provokes and satisfy esthetic pleasures. One of the seven arts and one of the oldest, is the sculpture. Sculpture began in the late 7 B.C which were used by ancients to represent their gods and th
then by early Christians to decorate their churches. Normally the sculpture is based on creating figures in three dimensions working or styling material, such as clay, stone, wood or bronze. But this can be combined in beautiful objects for example in books. Sculpture in the books beyond expressed in words printed in sheets, this in turn wants to give a vision beyond its context. This type of sculpture began in Edinburgh in the year 2011. Apparently the creators of these works of art were a group of young people. Many of them reserve an anonymity. They created these sculptures made in books by the closure of many libraries in the city, then decided to give some new points of view of a simple book. My perception of these books is reaching youth, to see that the books are a work of art in its great splendor. The form as books can be sculptures us sink to see the books, or the history of these a better way are in 3D. To see books as various forms of sculptures simply inspire you into a world of imagination. In my opinion the creation of these books is to activate the taste of youth who are involved in the technology and do not appreciate how magnificent and splendid book can be, then the best way which can be is through a detailed illustration, such as the environment or the setting of the book. Which is better if it is depicted in a sculpture.
For example books, which were made in Edinburgh, were trying to take a new step to the sculpture, but also a way of using the books is to support libraries and literacy. They want to give hope to the books, which are much better for the creative development of people, especially children and young people. With the flood of many television programs, we think that these do not help children to be creative. But when we see a book that is very different from the normal, these could be much more striking, which would be much more attractive to them. Then these artists give a support so that people have more appreciation for art, literature, and sculpture. Many of these books are beginning of significant stories for lovers of art. Sculpture in books can make sense of much further work, it shows the beauty that it has. We can also convey emotions, as it is the taste for reading, or literature in general. An idiom that offers magnificent creations in addition to sound true as absolute proof of the good creative eye who some of us learn to grow within ourselves, demonstrates that learning along the way is the basis for creative expression. As we have seen the sculpture in books fill us with great imagination and passion for art. These in turn want to educate people, to make appreciate sculpture, literature. Because this created a new great creativity for children and youth. Another aspect is the awareness of libraries, since they provide a lot of books of many kinds.

Level 006 Censorship in Education
Education in every part of the world wants to be the same with all information to share. However each place has different rules, which deny or do not provide the whole information for public, students, teachers, parents, schools in general, that is known as censorship. The big question is should censorship be practiced in schools? Every school is managed by a system of each country, the schools censure just what they want, but not what it should be. Eventually censorship has been taking part in every thought of students, so it has taken negative results. There are a lot of problems in schools when the school administrators try to censure, the students should be more interested in this censured topic, it can cause some risk for them. Other example is the censure in schools which impart religion subjects, they deny some topics that they believe that it can affect them. Authorities believe that the censorship is the safest way to keep the students safety, however it is not always true. Censorship does not help the schools. First of all the sensor of a topic in many cases it could be harmful for students because they become more interested, In that point is when they can discover clandestine means. Nowadays the people are involved with information, because almost everyone has internet in their house, so they children or students can find easily anything. For example some school censure sexual topics, therefore the students will be looking for some information on internet, but when they do not have any idea about this topic, they can misunderstand what they read. Another big example is about drugs, when they do not provide a correct information, the students become more intriguing about what drugs do in their body. Schools want to help
them censuring those topics, they are harming students because they have internet where students they can find any information. There are some kind of schools for example private schools, or public schools, but there is one which it is trying to teach religion knowledge. For example the topics, which are exposed, have censured in some parts like sexual topic, because they think it is obscene that students should learn at these age. The religion has been participated in many situations, most of them that can against the religious belief. Therefore they try to avoid some knowledge, for example the evolution, some books about evolution theories are not teaching, but they implant books of religion like the bible. Another example is the topic about GLBT, they do not talk anything with their students, because they believe that it is against the religion and God. Therefore the children grow with these point of view. In addition what students wear is also banned on those schools they do not give students a chance to find a character. Religious schools just do what they believe. The authorities of all these schools try to provide information that they assume it can save the integrity of the student, it is not always in that way, because all these types of censorship do not give them to open their minds. Therefore they started to get confused when they leave their schools. The best way to keep the students is giving them all the information. Because it depends in how they are educated than what they teach. When the students are in a correct education they are not to take a bad road, because they shall know what is wrong and what is good for them. The problem is not the content to censure it is how they learn it.
Marcos Hernández Professor: Dennys Montaño English level 6-008 Date: Jul/07/2016 Topic: Problems in Education
Factors affecting Educational Development Introduction Training may be a standout amongst the practically imperative apparatus to decline those destitution. Numerous nations attempt to put resources into instruction. However some nations need aid included over a considerable measure from claiming issues, which don't enhance the economy. These issues influence of the people, bringing on they can’t get an ordinary life. Fumble from claiming training in distinctive nations makes an underdevelopment in the nation over. This issue will be worldwide, with different rates.
These problems likewise degrade and destroy the development in education, influencing little groups without a vocation. To purpose the issues of poor education, we figure precisely the thing that the issues that cause it to glitch would. In this manner poor instruction increments neediness. Furthermore instruction will be global, which ought to be viewed as superior to an alternate. There would large portions private schools that accuse a considerable measure for cash to study, get same results as public schools. Instruction needs been creating in a benefits of the business the place degenerate control instruction. In this research we will examine a few answers for move forward training. An important point gives a few suggestive to create the training and the economy of a country. A purpose that we will examine the correct management about money in the schools. Previously, in Ecuador some colleges and schools have been closed, because they just were made for benefits of the business. Different examples to solve the problems of education, which will be training and good management of the budget for a better education.
Literature review Mismanagement of funds The schools prescribes how schools must take care about subsidizes. It additionally gives suggestions to the school legislating body, and the principal to do their parts and also the responsibilities for overseeing the finances of the one school. There would a lot of principals and school administering figure parts who need aptitudes, like skills to act in a pressure situation, to find the best solution in the schools. (Education, 2006) In many cases, it need been accounted that principals have been subjected on measurable audits, because of the bad management about subsidizes through misappropriation, fraud, robbery about cash,
those robbery. Furthermore insufficient control about budgetary records. It will be obvious from those people of each school manager, if a part of the school administering figure or one school management team, it must need exactly information how it is workings of the accounts of a school. Therefore, they need a strong theoretical framework to support their actions. (Merrian, 1998) The research design and method to determine the perceptions of many people interested in the issue of accountability. The researcher had investigated the interpretation and meaning that parents and educators regarding the accountability of school finances. Focus group interviews were conducted with parents in the school, principals and teachers to know their opinions, the interviewer has to ask questions in such a way as to obtain meaningful information. This also facilitated the process of describing principles and guidelines for school and managing bodies which maintain their schools finances effectively and efficiently. (Mestry, 1999) In our country the Ministry of Education (MEC) is responsible for three areas: Education, Culture and Sports, in education MEC is the governing body of the Tax Education, public schools, private and Municipal, its biggest responsibility is to the 25,000 tax pre-primary, primary and secondary schools, where they go about 4 million students. Education policy promotes a participatory and critical citizenship and considers the consolidation of democratic regimes; in the economy is a strategy to develop the human capital required for a competitive insertion in the world market and achieve acceptable levels of economic growth; and in the social sphere, it is more effective to promote equality of opportunity and social mobility mechanism. (Potgieter, 1997)
Corruption in education It can be a scourge that covers many universities and colleges around the world, who have problems of corruption as stated by universal report card. For nations exactly these awards would be clearly negative. The report card says that nearly three-quarters of the people of Cameroon and Russia see their training frameworks in the same way "exceptionally corrupt or corrupt". There some places where some corrupt people create shadow school, they are schools without the total students and teacher, and it has malpractice of money to the schools indeed public schools really need these money. In Pakistan, there are thousands of "shadow schools" without students, but they get the public funding to pay for "ghost teachers".
"Leakages" in the subsidizing for schools done Kenya required those proportional quality of losing more than 11 million content books, says those reports. An investigation for 180 schools in Tanzania indicated that more than a third for expected subsidizes needed fizzled to range those one school. On Greece there need aid warnings over nepotism clinched alongside employments and promotions to higher training. Over Vietnam there may be an issue for gift for spots in the vast majority looked for after schools. Also those reports figures starting with United Kingdom demonstrating 110 nations the place fees are levied. (Coughlan, 2013)
In fact in Ecuador there were many public and private schools, where they managed quantity of money to benefits of owner. It did not help to the study of students, because they just paid pensions to pass a school level.
Thus the reason ought training make in this way defenseless with corruption? Parents need those best for their children, also they might make misused toward corrupt authorities controlling entry on spots. Anyhow it’s not just an issue to those creating scene or the individuals giving work to the fundamentals about educating. Those enormous development popular to college instruction need made rich chances to illegal charges. Understudies requirement degree-level qualifications more than ever and need aid under great weight to get school puts Also to clear out for handy grades, opening dependent upon ripe domain to defilement What's more deceiving. There Might Additionally make more useful sorts about illegal charges, with suggestions that on Romania entry to college convenience depended ahead remuneration.
Public and Private Schools
Parents are dependably taking care of their children, attempting should settle on those best choices for them what's more important for their futures. The point is when they have to go to schooling. The parents frequently all the must to work, so they have to send their kids in private school or keep them in a public school. In addition which will be consider the best option when the private schools have the same results than public schools, and some cases they results are less than usual. (Chen, 2015) Most importantly the state public schools are committed by law to teach all youngsters, so to select in a government public school they essentially enroll their tyke by rounding out the vital structures. Government funded schools should likewise meet state graduation necessities, yet the government funded educational system will normally have set up an option school that the tyke will go to until they are no more under the consideration of the general population. The problem is that public schools do not have the total financial,
because the government has to distribute the money for every school in the country, but some rural schools get low grades, opposite to the named schools, which have a big level of education, because they are forced by the teacher to be a better student. In the other hand the private schools are not committed by any laws in regards to affirmation. In this manner, non-public school confirmation is focused. Additionally, tuition based schools are not required to give instructive projects to youngsters with exceptional needs. Non-public schools are additionally under no commitment to keep an understudy selected. Numerous tuition based schools do adjust themselves to non-public school affiliations which will order graduation necessities. The real problem in Ecuador with the private schools is that they a managed by the owners, so they take care about how can be the environment better than the education. Studying in these colleges or schools, students who have to pay at least one hundred dollars per month. Therefore the administrators are focused to students which pay their pension at time, because they consider as a good students and they can pass the levels. Indeed not every private schools do that, but these problem will be affected to develop of a country (Goodloe, 2005) Conclusion For a better development in education, the people responsible for the money that is delivered by the Government must be changed. Factors such as corruption are involved in education. Then if the education is affected the development of a country not is possible, because the main advance to a country out of the poverty is as an excellent education. Since corruption exists in every place it is necessary that schools in general such as colleges, schools and University are strictly at the hands of the Government, so that it is properly controlled. So it is exploited to the maximum and there is equity in education, since her education is a right for all. Although many people believe that private schools are better than
public, often these schools are converted into business for the owners of the schools, not to give an excellent education, they should be closed. All these small inconveniences make education not to achieve a better result.
