28 May 2010 Perth Mint’s Q1 Silver Bullion Sales According to GFMS (http://www.gfms.co.uk), the world's foremost precious metals consultancy, The Perth Mint’s Kookaburra, Koala and Lunar silver bullion coin series accounted for 9% of world sales in the first quarter of 2010. Dominating the market for silver bullion coins in South-East Asia, the Mint also took healthy slices of the markets in Japan and Europe, with 34% and 24% respectively, the report said. The Mint expects to improve its position in the near future through a number of initiatives, including the commissioning of a new 1,000 tonnes coin-press and a new secure storage hub for bullion in Europe.
