Kitchens in Wolverhampton will never be the same again UK'S LARGEST KITCHEN FACELIFT RETAILER OPENS ON THE TETTENHALL ROAD Wolverhampton local, Richard Foster, has recently opened his Dream Doors showroom on The Tettenhall Road in Newbridge. And he already has an order book full of customers, all impressed by the franchised company's time and money-saving kitchen makeover service. A customer who had her kitchen doors and drawers swapped in a single day gave a glowing testimonial on the independent consumer monitoring website, Checkatrade, commenting: “We're over the moon with the service and work done. We can't speak highly enough of them. We've never been so pleased with the quality, standard and service provided from any trader before.” Another customer in Wolverhampton who chose the same simple door replacement service gave Dream Doors top marks, writing: “The fitting was very good. Great customer service as well. I have already recommended them.” Dream Doors was established in Hampshire in 1999 and now has more than 50 locally-owned franchised showrooms throughout the country. Richard's showroom – which has taken just six months to open – is the first to cover the WV postcode area. An experienced retailer in his own right before joining Dream Doors, Richard says that, as a franchise, the company offers something other kitchen operators can't. “I've visited plenty of businesses in my time, and this is definitely the most professional and well-run franchise I've ever seen,” he says. “It offers the best of both worlds for customers; they're buying from a national brand that's won numerous awards and built a fantastic reputation, but they're also dealing with a local business owner who has their own reputation and livelihood at stake.” Made-to-measure and manufactured in the UK, all Dream Doors kitchen doors and drawers are fitted in a single day. It's a convenient solution that leaves kitchens looking like new, but without the stress and upheaval of a full refurbishment. Most customers also choose new worktops and a sink, and while that might take an extra day, it is still at least half the cost of a comparable new kitchen. Dream Doors also supplies appliances from the best manufacturers and some of the most innovative storage solutions on the market, all making the best use of space in the kitchen. Richard offers a free guarantee on the doors and installation and asks for just a 50 percent deposit, only collecting the balance when customers are completely satisfied.

PGA Golf Tips from Jeremy Nicholls at Ledene Golf Centre.....
This month we will look at using the correct grip on your golf club. A common error amongst club golfers is holding the club with a weak left hand (holding the club too much in the palm of your hand). Gripping the club in this way reduces wrist action which will produce a shot that slices and lacks power. As the fingers are the most sensitive parts of our hands, placing the club in the fingers rather than the palm produces more feel and increases the amount of wrist hinge, which results in longer and more powerful shots. • Place the club across the fingers so that it rests on the base of the little finger along to the first joint of the index finger. When placed across the base of the fingers on the left hand, the thumb should rest on the grip and be positioned just slightly down the right, as you look down you should see a “V” shape created between the thumb and forefinger. • Now bring your right hand to the club with your palm facing the target, you should gently close the fingers around the grip with the forefinger cocked slightly to form a trigger, with the little finger on the right hand resting between the index finger and middle finger of the left hand. The “V” formed by the thumb and forefinger should point somewhere between chin and right shoulder. With the two hands on the grip working as one unit and without gripping the club to tight the hands and arms with the club will be able to work more freely in the swing helping you to deliver the club back to a better impact position when striking the ball. A Word From Your MP.....
I am always extremely impressed by the amount of charitable work that takes place
in South Staffordshire. We are extremely lucky to have a wide range of organisations and charities, locally, and it is a huge comfort to live in an area where you know that this support is available. In June, the Church at Perton played host to charities, partnership organisations and community groups from all over Staffordshire. The Celebration Event, as it was called, was organised by Support Staffordshire and was designed to enable local organisations to celebrate their successes, attract volunteers and inform people about the help and funding that is available for local projects. Local groups such as Codsall Forget Me Not Club, Freeworld Recycling, Staffordshire Community Foundation, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and Friends of Bilbrook all gathered with local residents to celebrate South Staffordshire’s community spirit. I was greatly honoured to be asked to officially open the event and afterwards to give the first ever Gavin Williamson MP Award. The award was created to recognise the contribution of a nominated volunteer who has really gone the extra mile in carrying out charitable works within the local area. It was almost impossible to select a winner and I felt extremely humbled when presented with the long lists of incredible good works undertaken by the South Staffordshire nominees. In the end, however, the choice was clear. The award went to Eric Newton, who works as a volunteer driver for Wombourne Volunteer Bureau Hand in Hand. Mr. Newton was chosen not just because of the work he has done but the work that he is continuing to do, with no expectation of recognition or reward. As a volunteer driver, Mr. Newton spends much of his spare time helping vulnerable people to their hospital appointments and then escorting them safely back to their homes. A member of Wombourne Writers, he also volunteers for the Cheshire House Care Home, where he conveys his love of literature to the residents by reading stories and other pieces of writing. It is easy to fear that the modern era is leading to a breakdown of the local community culture, but individuals such as Mr. Newton and the other nominees are living proof that a selfless society spirit is still alive and well in our South Staffordshire villages.
