INTRODUCTION A short yet reliable paddle governed by
releases from Thruscross Reservoir. Canoeing competitions
coincide with release days, which also provide access for river running.

ACCESS Put in below Thruscross Reservoir by the car park
on the right bank (155 574). Take out river right below the
A59 road bridge (168 553).
DESCRIPTION Put in below Thruscross Reservoir by the
car park on the right bank. A enjoyable narrow run with every river feature on a small scale. On race days it is possible
to get the shuttle back up to the start and repeat the experi-
ence over and over again.
