The Physical Education and Sport Sciences (PESS) department is one of 6 departments in the Faculty of Education and Health Sciences at the University of Limerick (UL) and is one of the fastest growing departments on campus in the Education and Health Sciences Faculty. The PESS department has a high reputation and has been recognised nationally as a leader in the delivery of physical education and sport science programmes. With it's growing demand and interest in academic programmes that relate to sport, science of sport, health and physical activity, the PESS department's mission is to promote and advance learning and knowledge in the area of physical education and sport sciences through innovative teaching and research.
