Survival of the Fittest

The phrase, “Survival of the fittest” comes from Darwinian evolutionary theory, it is used to describe the result of natural selection. Natural selection is the process that stands by better-adapted organisms in their environment tend to survive and reproduce. The theory was expounded by Charles Darwin, and it is now said to be the main process of evolution.

This diagram is a good example of natural selection, it shows that animals that are better adapted to their environment are more likely to survive. It is ideal for animals that are better adapted to their environment to survive rather than the animals that lack these adaptions. I say this because when the better-adapted animals have offspring they can pass down there traits to them. This allows their offspring to have a better chance of survival which in turn saves their species. Natural selection may be harsh but it is needed as it causes populations to become adapted/well-suited to their environments over time. This applies to both humans and animals.
