A poignant look at life at Knoll Farm and how caring for oneself means caring for animals through life and death. We are republishing this story during the 2020 lambing season which may be most remembered for Covid 19. We are reminded by it that our land and waters -the earth itself- are the biggest and best health care system that we have. As we care for this land and our animals during this time of isolation, we do so to strengthen our social ties to one another and this place and to search for a new balance. Covid 19 will pass, but we hope we will never be the same again.
