•ANTINUTRIENTS are molecules that do not provide nutrients (fidic acid), are starchy compounds that are neither digested nor absorbed, but are important for the flora. Among the non-nutrients we find the distinct dietary fiber in: •Soluble fiber (galactose) that promotes intestinal transit. •Insoluble fiber (cellulose) does not dissolve in water but absorbs its molecules bringing sense of satiety.

SOME GREAT TIPS

NUTRIENTS • By Dr. Medici

• Macronutrients: sugar, proteins and fat Sugar: are the main source of nutrients, are the fuel of the body and represent 55%/60% of daily calories. They are divided into simple and complex 1gr = 4 Kcal Proteins: represent the building blocks of the body, build bones and muscles, promote the growth and defense from viruses and bacteria. They are divided into plants and animals Fat: they give a lot of energy and make food tasty, but you should never abuse, they divide in animals and plants 1gr = 9 Kcal

PHYTOTHERAPY BY DR. BATTAGLIA LUCIA

• What is it? • From the greek phytòn (plant) and therapèia (cure) • It’s the use of plants or extracts of plants for the treatment of diseases or for the maintenance of psychophysical well-being.

PHYTOTHERAPY

In prehistoric times it began with the casual use of leaves, roots or seeds that in addition to nutritional properties have shown beneficial effects for digestion the healing of wounds and the reduction of pain.

Even in historical times the medical centers were the temples.

Thanks to Hippocrates develops a thought that rejects magic and is based on the observation of the patient, the symptoms it presents and the modalities of the evolution of the disease.

In Roman times the doctor Galen established how to make the prescription of medications still called « GALENICA»

The Arabs gave rise to alchemy and modern chemistry

Swiss physician Paracelsus introduced the «fifth essence» real strength of the medicine able to operate the healing with the use of plant extracts

Galileo and Newton in 600 developed scientific thought

In the second half of '800 chemistry and pharmaceuticals isolated the «active ingredients»

In 1928 Fleming discovers penicillin
