[CHINA’S SPACE MISSION]
China completed its longest manned space mission on June 26th as shenzhou-10 spacecraft and three crew members returned to the Earth safely. China celebrated another successful step forward in space exploration. President to his� dream �of national revival. THE CREW The crew comprised Wang Yaping(Laboratory Assistant), Nie Haisheng(commander) and Zhang xiaoguan (Operator). Cninese astronauts are called taikonauts. The Launch The Shenzhou 10 Spaceship and its Launcher, a long March-2F rocket, Blasted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert on June 11th.
Perfect docking The 15 day mission was highlighted by the docked to the tiangong-1 unmanned space station module, which was launched on September 29, 2011. The Shenzhou 10 spacecraft linked up with the Tiangong 1 (“Heavenly Palace�) space ststion in a perfect way. Lecture from the space The 50-minute in-space lecture by the female astronaut, Wang Yaping proved highly popular. Speaking to student via live video, Ms. Wang used spinning tops, a ball, water and a fellow astronaut to explain physics on microgravity. The lecture was attended by 60 million students throughout China. Her space lecture was beamed live to over 80,000 school that participated in this event Some of the students got the opportunity to ask the taikonauts some question on board TIANGONG-1.
Students got inspired Wang Zheng, 10, a schoolboy from Luohe city in central China’s HENAN province was one of those inspird by the lecture. He said “I want to be an astronaut one day. I want to contribute to China’s development, and it would be fun to go so fast in arocket”.

Successful Mission
The three crew members ZHANG XIAOGUANG (right) NIE HAISHENG (centre) and WANG YAPING (left) celebrated their successful mission. The success of SHENZHOU-10 mission is considered as a major step towards BEIJING’S goal of building a permanent space station by 2020.
