BREED SPECIFIC FORMULATION BOUVIER DES FLANDRES (#31) THE Bouvier des Flandres developed in the area of Brussels, Belgium. Major Police forces throughout the world use and respect this breed for their loyalty and devotion to duty. Being very intelligent, they are easy to train. They were originally developed to round up the cattle and drive them to market. Ancestral food from Brussels, Belgium, would have included beef cattle, fish, brown rice, and flax. The Bouvier des Flandres should be fed a blend of fresh beef, beef meal, bison and fish with brown rice, wheat and green leafy vegetables. This diet should have a very high vegetable oil content from wheat germ oil or linseed oil. Avoid feeding a Bouvier des Flandres processed food and food blendes that contain yellow corn, soy (including soy oil coat conditioners) and beet pulp.
